Ok--we've all got them...the family members that put the FUN in dysFUNctional.

The creepy BIL, the drunken MIL, the family members that don't speak to each other for twenty years over a promised pair of pantyhose--oh wait! That's MY family! haha

We all have them, but think other families are "normal" so lets' share our dysfunctional family stories to prove that theory wrong!

My 77 year old Aunt, who still wears skin tight clothing , plunging necklines and high heels and tons of makeup...daily. Goes dancing every weekend at the senior center but she doesn't understand why the other women don't like her (doesn't think she dresses any different than anyone else). She also, just bought a new car after she wrecked the old O. after she passed out at the wheel. Thank goodness she just ran herself off the rode. She doesn't drink, but takes lots of medication for various things. She recently just stopped driving her tractor (probably in her heels). Would make a great character for some book or movie :)

My SIL hosts the Easter dinner every year.

There is a cover charge of $20 per person. Before she went to that format, it was a BYOM (bring your own meat) to cook and a dish to pass. In other words, she provided plates and utensils and drinks.

Long story short, she wants to be the host but she doesn't want to have to drop a dime on the festivities. Needless to say, we don't go.

This is just the tip of the iceberg.

Oh my god, Denise! I just threw up in my mouth reading about your MIL's oozing stinky boil. Blah!

My inlaws think I'm crazy... because I'm Catholic! They seriously think we do something with snakes at church...? Little do they know that my husband converted about three years ago.

I have a brother-in-law that lives in another state. He STILL doesn't like me because when he dated my sister I was an annoying 13 year old who bugged him and tried to get his attention. I'm 50 now. SERIOUSLY??? He STILL thinks of me as 13 and annoying. You would think that having a daughter himself would have taught him that 13 is 13 and they are all stupid and annoying at that age!

Let's see..... my cousin works in a unionized government job in a small town. Someone reported to his supervisor that they thought he was unstable so he was removed from his main job and given another job at the same pay. He didn't like that so he just stopped going to work. For 2 years. He is convinced that God will vindicate him and give him his old job with back pay and pain & suffering. Doesn't understand why the union isn't rushing to sue on his behalf. He's married with 3 kids, wife doesn't work either. The refrigerator broke so he just uses the O. at the church down the street, although they have an ice chest for milk. The washer & dryer broke so he hauls his family's laundry 50 miles each way to do it at his mom's house rather than buy a used set or get his fixed or go to the laundromat. Don't get me started on his mom, she believes everyone is out to get her little (42 yo) baby and it's all his wife the evil harpy's fault.
