Hi everyone,
I am trying to plan my 5 yr olds Bday party for May 31st in San Jose.
We have been gone for the last 3 weeks, and I just did not have the time before we left to really plan out the party. So know I am in a panic and trying to pull it all together in a hurry!
Anyway, does anyone have any recommendations for a Face Painter and/or Balloon Twister...or other similar entertainers?

I don't have info on a painter or balloon twister, but a bounce house is always appreciated by little ones. They aren't too expensive. They set up and take down too.

Dinnie is a wonderful woman in Mountain View who does magical and artistic face painting. She is not cheap and very, very well worth it and very responsive.
She is fabulous.!
We enjoyed a magician/balloon twister from www.BayAreaStars.com at a church function this past Sat. night (May 17). This company also offers face painting. The magic was very simple and suitable for young children--things like changing a coloring book from black and white to colored by magic, for instance, or putting spots on a plain dog on a handkerchief. Our entertainer was good at involving the children as helpers and had a gentle manner. I know she wore a tie-dye dress and had blond hair but cannot remember her name. You could ask for the gal who worked at the fellowship dinner at First Presbyterian Church Mountain View on Sat. May 17.
I had a great gal / face painter a few years ago for my sons party and she was on time and was great with the kids. I found her on Craig's list. The face painting skills were pretty good, spit trying to paint a bunch a squirmy kids. Her Daughter also does balloons. I forget her first name but kept her info on my caller ID. Last year I had a balloon twister from Balloonitics in Campbell. She was Fabulous and the kids loved her. I think I would do the balloon twister again from the response I got from the kids. I think they liked balloons more

The balloon/face painter we used when my kids went to th elementary school in San Jose was Rebecca. She is a sweet lady with two kids. She came to Del Roble Elementary school for our family night Scholastic Book Fair for many years. She has great interaction with the kids of all ages especially when it comes to waiting in a long line to have your balloon made.
