O.O.
Time will tell...it's only 9 months.
Odd fact: Eyeballs are the same size at birth as they are when we are fully grown.
When did your baby's eyes get their permanent color? It was obvious pretty early with DD & DS1, but my LO is nine months and I just can't tell what his are going to do.

My eyes were blue until I was 6 Then they changed to Blue/green.
I see yellow in my daughters blue eyes, so I think hers are going to change.. she is 3.
My son's eye color started out as blue, and were gray/blue by 6 mos. They've stayed that way.
My daughter's eye color started dark blue, and turned brown by 9 mos- 1 year. Now her eyes are almost a golden yellow/brown. They've lightened up in the last couple of years (she's 4).
I had blue eyes until I was 5, then they turned green.
Eye color is strange- you just never know!
I just did a lot of research on the genetics of eye color. Have your child look straight ahead. You look at his/her eye from the side (facing his ear). For light colored eyes, if the area behind the iris is golden then the eyes will darken/change. If it is clear or blueish then the eyes will remain blue. If the eyes are brown they will remain so and possibly darken but usually with brown things don't change.
One of my girls is golden, one is clear. So, while they both currently have blue/grey eyes, it looks like one will end up with green. My eyes changed from blue to green during puberty which, while uncommon, isn't truly rare especially if one parent has dark eyes. My dad has brown, mom blue.
I could tell by 6 months with both of my girls. My oldest has eyes that are so dark brown they're almost black, and my youngest has eyes that are a caramel brown. My niece and nephew have blue eyes - the nephew's eyes are an ice blue, and they were that color by about 2 months, and the niece's eyes are a darker blue, and her eyes were that color by 3-4 months.
That said, my eyes started off light blue and were that color until I was 17. Then, they started to get yellow flecks in them, and now my eyes are green. My eye doctor said that this is pretty common, actually. Your eyes don't always become their final color until adulthood, which is more true for people with blue/green eyes than with any other color.
K.,
All three of mine NEVER changed from birth - brown, blue and black (really, really dark brown).
I have a friend whose eyes change color - from green to more hazel...I wouldn't worry about it. Most kids eyes don't change color after 9 weeks. If your son is going back and forth between hazel and brown or green and hazel? I wouldn't stress over it.
My eyes turned green when I was 8 or 9 - they were very blue before that. My oldest son was 3 or 4 when his blue eyes turned green. I think my youngest son's (age 4) eyes will stay blue, but who knows. My middle son was adopted and he is Asian, so...brown eyes to stay. So, I'd say it can happen pretty late.
At about a year old our son had brown eyes just like his Dad.
They started out looking dark blue and gradually changed.
My daughters started out deep blue, then changed around 3 months to a vivid blue. Once she turned around 2.5 years, they changed to a more gray-ish blue. Now she is almost 4.5, and her eyes seem to be changing every time I look at her... Sometimes they have little green streaks coming from the pupil, sometimes brown... But they are usually gray.
I love it, because they look amazing when she wears blue or purple.
I think it's supposed to be set around 2, but my 3 year old has recently gone from a clear blue to a hazel. I really can't say what color they are, it varies with what he's wearing now!
Both of my boys' started out blue. Dark blue. Boy1's eyes turned green at about age 6. Boy2's turned gray-blue at about 7.
My oldest son's never changed my younger son's went from pure blue to more grey, but I can not pin point exactly when that change occurred.
My oldest kept changing until he was nearly 3. They were very blue for almost 2 years, but now have a hazel ring around the pupil and blue/grey on the outside of the iris. At the 2 year check up, the doctor even said that she thought they would stay blue and she was surprised the next year when they started to change!
My son's went from blue to hazel to a permanent brown.. This all happened in about 6 months time...
I have hazel eyes; however, the older I get the more they just stay green. On my passport I have green eyes and red hair. Our daughter has steel blue eyes. I call them "german blue" just like her grandfather (FIL). Our son started with very blue eyes. They have since changed to a true hazel color. My husband has brown eyes. =)
My mom, dad and brother all have the same eye color - hazel.
One of my older girls had blue eyes until she was 2, then they turned a golden brown. Now they are a bit darker.
My daughter was born with dark eyes and they stayed that way. Not all babies eyes change color.
My kid's (12 & 10) eyes still change color, but they're staying in the blue/hazel range as they get older. No surprise to us, I have green/hazel/blue/brown eyes that change color depending on my mood.
Mine were born with their eye color.
Blue.
Although in the past couple of years, my son's (he's 16) have begun to drift into the hazel/green/blue arena. My eyes are blue and husband's are green.... soo.... I asked at the DMV when he got his license what color THEY thought they were b/c we couldn't decide, and the lady behind the counter said she couldn't tell so just to pick one. :/
