I googled her symptoms and didn't come up with anything, but it could be an infection, or a problem with her contact lens. Regardless, it sounds like something where she should stop wearing her contacts and get to an eye doctor asap. (better safe than sorry) Even the optometrists at mall eye places like For Eyes and PearleVision will be able to tell her if it is a severe problem and give her a referral if necessary; plus they take walk-ins. I would go today if they are open. I have done this in the past when I had strange eye problems and it worked out fine. If she has medical insurance, she should take the insurance info with her, eye exams for non-glasses/contacts situations are often covered.
