is it safe for my body to start doing intense work outs 3 months after having my first baby!?

Have you asked your OB or whoever did your delivery??

Usually one can resume exercise 6 weeks after a normal vaginal delivery. If one had a c-section it can be longer, all depending how complicated your delivery was and your overall health. Your doctor will be the one to decide.

I started intense workouts 2 weeks after my vaginal delivery and 8 weeks after my c-section. Currently prego with #3. It all depends on what your fitness level was during pregnancy, how long you kept it up, whether you have any complications during delivery or after. Talk to your OB.

Doctors say to wait 6 weeks after giving birth to start exercising. At your post-partum 6 week check up, your doctor should have given you the green light to start exercising. I am wondering why you are asking mamapedia this question, when you should have asked your doctor at your 6 week check up?

Three months should be fine, as long as you feel up to it. Listen to your body. I had c-sections and was working out six weeks after each one, and pretty intensely about 8 weeks after. I was in great shape and did regular workouts before getting pregnant both times, so it wasn't new to me. As long as you haven't had any complications with the delivery, three months is plenty of time. Go for it!
