Does anyone have any experience with Essure? Any Pro or Cons that you might have? How did it affect your cycle, body or anything? Any info good or bad about it I would love to hear! Thanks.

What can I do next?

This may be an old questions and responses. I want everyone to please checkout this site. I myself had the Essure in 2007, and started to develop many problems and doctors never took into consideration that I knew my body well enough that it was the Essure and something was wrong. It is January 2013, I am waiting on a Gyno,Oncologist, and Uriologist a special surgeon because the Essure is and does cause Chronic Inflammatory Diease. (Autoimmune disorder). Please view: essureorocedure.net
Our Community of over a 1000 women with Essure Problems on Facebook.
Also, please educate and research Mrs.Erin Brokvich has become over advocate and our voice to be heard by Congress. This is all true and accurate information, you will find documents, reports and information from the FDA, Conceptus makers of Essure, the Standard protocols for the device implantation. Last week, a document was uncovered that is now posted on both sites the document is from June 2002 and the information is over 300 pages long, but you will find that Conceptus and the FDA knew that all these problems could or would arise in this procedure. It was pushed thru Congress with medical device exemption so it has been a hard fight when I joined the Facebook Group over 9 months ago there were maybe 68 women, now there is over 1000. There are women that are still cinvinced, just like myself that I had an auto immune diease! Ladies, I have chronic inflammatory diease stated by the FDA and Conceotus that they knew that this would happen ans that it would be very hard to link all the facts and documents until we had Erin personally involved. There are many side effects to this procedure that doctors have no idea what is wrong but I don't if is the coils and out of the 1000 or ,ore women we were told of doctors, provided the procedure manual.
Also, I am 4o years old and have had these Essure coils in since 2007. I have every possible test. Specialist, all my medical files. Please know that thus was a easy for me to diagnosis, but the medical offices appppt. Target alpp

Well my girlfriend just had a miscarriage this past weekend and she had the Essure done about 7 years ago. She had done some research and found that it was starting to fail after a couple of years and women were getting pregnant. Now she had hers done when it first came out and I don't know if they changed anything since then. She didn't think she could get pregnant and well like I said she ended up pregnant. That being said I think any sterilization technique short of a hysterectomy has some failure rate. I had a tubal after my twins were born and every month I'm even a day late I freak out think that I'm that small percentage that it failed. Good luck :)

Mine took two minutes to do and was uncomfortable but do-able. While the actual procedure was only two minutes, because of the medicine you take, you will need an entire day to recover and SLEEP. I have had no side effects and love not having to worry about getting pregnant or putting hormones into my body. Just make sure you are done having kiddos b/c it isn't reversible!

I had the procedure back in May. So far, so good. I just had my confirmation test done a week or so ago to ensure it worked. So, now I am BC free ;) It was a bit uncomfortable as far as the procedure itself, but not unbearable by any means. I had some discomfort during and after the procedure, but it didn't last too long & I was back to myself.

I had the procedure done in July. It was a very easy procedure and my son had some activities in the evening, so I told them I could only take half of the medication and they did the procedure that way and I never took any pain medication after that only ibufropen for discomfort. I have not had my follow up yet, but am looking forward to not have to take any more BC!
