I have given many teachers sun catchers. You can get some nice ones at any Hallmark store and they aren't expensive. I once had a teacher cry because she didn't get another "apple" something! Good Luck!
It's the end of the year and I need some ideas for gifts for the kids' preschool teachers. Something small but meaningful. Thanks

I have done a painting of flowers using each of the kids in the class to put their fingerprint on the flower as petals, framed it and it looked great. The teacher hung it in class and the kids love to come up and pick out their finger print. Also, all the moms chipped in $5 and we got a $50 AMEX gift card that they can use for anything they want and a Bath and Body Works gift basket with AntiBacterial gels and lotions. This year all the kids did their hand prints and I used them to form the leaves of a Tree and wrote a poem in the center. All the kids made homemade cards and each brought in a flower. IT was a whole week of celebration and the teachers loved it! Good luck and THANKS for THINKING OF OUR TEACHERS!
H C.. I hate to "toot my own horn" But, I have a soap company, http://www.soapynature.com and for Teacher Appreciation Day I sold loads of soaps and soap baskets. I can make specialized labels with a message from you or a quote about teachers, etc. They make a nice, affordable, pretty and personalized gift that everyone loves, even men.
There are lot's of ideas in the advice you received but some others can include flowers and a handwritten note about the year your child had in the teacher's class. As a teacher, it's nice to hear if you really did make a difference in someone's life - we often get notes when there is a problem so a positive one can mean a lot. If you add a picture that your child drew that can make it very special. Honestly, as was stated earlier, any gesture is nice and appreciated b/c you took the time to think of them.
Glad I saw this..I am curious too, I wasn't sure if getting a gift was appropriate or not. How about doughnuts or better yet, get a box of brownies and make em'...That's what I think I'm gonna do...Only so much meaning ya need to give ya know...I think the fact that you thought of them at all will be appreciated. No need to overthink, that's what I'm trying to get better at..Relaxing...lol..Take care..
Hi!
I was an Elem Teacher for 6yrs and I must say the best gifts were the ones that the kids picked out! It didn't matter what it was.....a candle, lotion, a knick knack for my desk. Just knowing that the child picked it meant the world to me! Also, one year, my room-mom put together a scrapbook of pictures from the school year. She had the kids each write a little something or draw a picture for me. I still have it to this day and look at it often and it puts a smile on my face!

Hi C.,
I am a 2 year old teacher and I would love some hand lotion! We wash our hands so many times at the daycare/school. The "Teacher stuff" is fine but we can only have so much. It's nice to get a small simple something for ourselves i.e. hand lotion, note cards, gift cert. to Target/WarMart, even a flower is nice. Myself I love getting something handmade (a card) from the child/children. It means so much more! It doesn't have to cost a lot of money, just the thought that counts.

Is there any way to coordinate with the other parents so everyone can chip in a little bit and get a gift certificate to a local spa or for a massage? As the BFF of a preschool teacher, I can assure you that will be VERY appreciated and not soon forgotten!
We had a great idea last year. I bought mason jars and we made a dry pancake mix. (We did pumpkin.) You layer the mix in the jar and make labels or tags. We put pretty fabric on top which made it look more professional. The teachers loved it! Anyway, good luck!!
