Single Mom w/4 children at home. Ages 17 boy, 12 girl, 7 boy, 6 boy. I work a full time job that takes a lot of time away from home. I know with the economy looking for a new job is practically impossible. But I so want to be home with my children. I come home and I'm so exhausted and all they want to do is tell me about their day and all I want to do is eat shower and go to bed just to start my work day at the office all over again. Any one know of any reputable work from home jobs? I miss my kids :(

What can I do next?

My heart aches for your sweet and nurturing desire. My mom was a single mom of 4 kids also..we understood she was doing the best she could...we admire her hard work, determination and unfailing love for us kids when my dad upped and ditched family responsibilities.

I don't have any employment advice but hope you get some good advice from mamas her.

I am sending you some mama love and energy to make it through each day!!

Good luck and best wishes at finding a dream job to fulfill your dream of being with your kids more!!

You are doing the best you can for your children and rest assured that they do see that.

Most work from home jobs are direct sales, MLM, and scams. You'll be hit up with all the recruiters on this site to sell their wares and be rich.....

"Real" work from home jobs are hard to come by. What is your speciality? What do you do best? What do you love to do?

Think outside the box and who knows, you might come up with something.

Most companies will not hire someone right away to work from home. You have to prove yourself to be self driven and self disiciplined. Also, work at home requires that you not have children and pets around so that you focus on the job at hand.

I do work from home running our company in a very niche market which is raw materials. It is not something anyone could pick up and do.

However, I do all the Quickbooks and financials, I have a Quickbooks whiz work at home mom who tutors me and helps me when I have questions about payroll, taxes etc.

It is hard to locate a stay at home job that is legit. Most are sales that want you to invest, sell, have parties, recruit, etc...

I do wich the best for you and I hope something comes you way that would be a good fit for you.

I., I sent you a private message regarding a registered pharmaceutical company I work with. It's the only company listed with the IRS as consumable direct marketing which allows us to earn income as a business and share company profits. I think our business concept will work for you as it has so many of us. Contact me for more information.

I am with a reputable health and wellness company. I have my own business not just a job. I'm a mommy to a one year old boy, and I am a full time online student. My business allows me to contribute to my family's bank account while still being available for my family. I would love to share with you what I do and help you reach your goals! Please feel free to PM or check out my website listed on my profile page :)

There's very little out there that's going to pay what a traditional at-office job does. The key really is your skill set. Do you have skills you can market as a consultant, such as web design, writing, business analysis, etc.? You can potentially earn a good living that way (I do as a freelance PR writer). Your best prospects are going out on your own as a consultant, but then you do lose health insurance and all the perks that come with working for an employer. There are some telecommuting opportunities, but you'll have to prove yourself on-site with an employer first.

What do you do? AlpineAccess is a legit company that hires people to work from home doing customer service - I think it starts at 9/hr but does provide benefits. Your kids cannot be home when you are working and there is a training period - good luck.

It depends on if you're going to be employed at home or start your own at home business. On the ones you start on your own, you'll need to do it first on the side to see how much you can make before you quit. You can also do free lance stuff from home. Whatever your interests are and what you like to do, you can see if there is a need to turn your hobby/interests into an at home job. I don't know about employment at home, though. I wish you the best!
