Hello Ladies:
Could anyone here suggest a good pediatric dentist we can see on an emergency basis. My three year old daughter fell on concrete steps at the equestrian center and busted her lip and has one tooth that is visibly hanging. I took her to urgent care and the pediatrician said her lip did not need stitches, but to take her to a pediatric dentist ASAP! He recommended Dudley Katz in Annapolis, but I cannot find a listing for him. Of course I want to be in an office in the morning, but right now I am looking at a list with no idea where to go. I don't care about insurance at this point my FSA mastercard is going to come in quite handy. I live in Upper Marlboro, but will go any distance to make this experience the best it can be at this pointAny help you can provide is greatly appreciated.
Thanks to everyone, you responsed so quickly. Needless to say, I haven't realy slept since Saturday, so I listened to the dad who didn't want me driving 'all around' the beltway. I ended up dealing with insurance for the first part of the morning. We ended up having to see a primary care dentist first which was Dr.Alphonso Davidson, Jr. in Bowie. He was very gentle when examining my daughter and she "enjoyed" the visit. I am pretty sure when we don't have "trauma" we will go back there for her regular visits. I had picked a pediatric dentist that was covered under my insurance and there wasn't many under the DMO. Dr. Davidson highly objected to the dentist and point blank told me that the guy was not good with kids. I then said I didn't care about being under the plan I just wanted a 'good' experience, so he referred us to Dr. Grimm who is also in Bowie. Don't let the name fool you, he has awesome "chairside" mannerism, very gentle, very patient, very reassuring. He explained that it would be best not to try to save the tooth because the bone in front had been fractured and it might absces and cause worse pain for her. We opted to have it removed. He let me hold her hands while he did the extraction, so it made it easier on us both. She was a very brave 3 year old and this evening you would think that nothing happened to her. She says mommy my tooth is gone, but other than that she is back to being my happy go lucky baby girl! Lip is still swollen, but it will go down! Her older brother (5) is excited that the tooth fairy is coming to our house for the first time!
P.S. That number for Dudly Katz on Defense highway dials some sort of Latina hotline or something. I don't speak spanish, but it clearly says Latina early in the message! LOL! Thanks to the person who sees him, I had left the house when your message was posted, but I will pass the info on to others because I was assured he was Great!!
We use Dr. McGrath in this office, but any of the doctors are great. They made the Annapolis best Pediatric dentist list ###-###-####. They are located across from the mall near Sams Club. They share the same building as night time pediatrics.

Drs. Tull and Behling on Rt 2 in Arnold are great! Their number is ###-###-####. Great with kids and super nice office staff.
We go to Dudley katz and LOVE him but he only practices over the bay bridge, just the first exit leaving the bridge in Stevensville. It really isn't that far at all. His number is ###-###-####. You will LOVE him if you haven't already found another dentist. Good Luck!
