Electric Shavers

Does anyone have a suggestion of a good electric razor that they just love and would recommend for a 12 year old? My daughter is just beginning to shave her legs and underarms and the standard razors with a blade seem to make her a bit nervous to use.

What can I do next?

I would recommend "Shavy Femini" http://www.allaboutshaving.com/web/seiko-femini-ps334-ps3...
it looks like a real razor but uses a AA battery, ebay sells them search for the best price. I have had mine for years and have given to my daughter as well.

I go to dollar tree in Flower Mound and buy Epilstop its a foam on and wipe off. It has a pleasant smell and you cant cut yourself. I remember being a teenager and wearing lots of bandaids. And best of all, its only $1.00!
Good luck.

I only let my daughter start with Nair - but after a while she asked to switch to razors - they work better - she uses a triple or quadruple blade razor - she has NEVER cut herself. I offered to take her to have her legs waxed (she has friends that do) - but she was against the pain that would entail.

I have never found an electric razor that works for me - I would love to see what others recommend.

My daughter started shaving her underarms at age 11. My husband and I didn't want her to cut herself with a razor, so I found the absolute BEST product. It is the Panasonic Wet/Dry Electric shaver ES2207 and it is wonderful! She has been shaving herself now for about a year and she has never cut herself. You can find it at Target for under $20.

I've never felt that electric razors worked all that well for legs. I started shaving my legs at 12 and I was fine for my daughter to do the same at that age. Today's razors are so much safer and easier to avoid cutting one's self than a generation ago. I would suggest spending some time with her sitting on the edge of the bathtub and give a lesson on careful shaving.

My daughter is about to start shaving her legs too - and I had the same question as you. A friend that I work with whose daughter started shaving 6 months ago got her a wet/dry electric razor by Panasonic - the product number is ES2207 - you can get it at Target or Wal-Mart -

Haven't gotten it yet - plan to do so this week -
her daughter loves hers - and has had NO problems!!

You might think about trying the lotions or sprays that remove hair instead. There are no blades to contend with and alot of them have aloe or other softening ingredients in them.
