Electric Razor/epi-things for Hair Removal

Ok, this summer, I am already tired of shaving my legs every day! So, today in Target I saw several "epi" type hair removers. I only remember the epi-lady in the late 80's and early 90's, and how bad everyone said it hurt! What I would like to know is has anyone tried one recently and what did you like or didnt like about it? Or electric shavers for women...Do they really shave close and do a good job...etc?
Thanks so much you awesome Moms!

Hi, S.,

I had a women's electric razor a few years ago, and it didn't work as good as I thought something so expensive should. I actually started using a man's electric razor and it worked better. I'll shave my legs with a regular razor once a week, then shave with the mens' electric razor in between. Nothing works as good as shaving with a razor (except maybe a waxing...which hurts), but this works well enough that I can get away with it. FYI, don't use lotion BEFORE using an electric razor...use it afterwards. I've also learned that if you keep your legs well moisturized, it "plumps" the skin, and makes shaving a little less necessary. I use my Jordan Essentials Satin Shea Body Butter. Just a thought.

My life sounds a little like yours. I am a WAHM of 3, ages 10, 11, 12, 5 dogs (three are puppies we're trying to give away!) 3 indoor cats, and about 12 outdoors (we're on a farm), two bunnies and 4 horses. I don't know how many fish, we have a koi pond and they've multiplied! LOL!

Have a great weekend! And if you get a chance, check out the member perks. I'm listed in there.

I use a electric razor half the time.. It does not get as smooth as a actual shave. I found what work best in waxing I got two weeks or Veet hair removal cream it last up to week with me. Waxing does hurt though. It's all up to how much you want to do and how long you want to get in between shaves. I hope this is some helpful info.

Hey S.,
Yes the epi-lady like hair removers hurt, they rip your hair out from the root. Waxing hurts too, but it is quicker, like ripping off a band aid. I would recommend getting it done at the salon, I have tried every brand of over the counter remover and it doesn't work and still hurts. Not worth it for me. If it is going to hurt I want it to remove the hair.

Good luck,
Michelle
