abcya is great and free.
I've downloaded pbs kids app which has games based on odd squad and nature cat. They are fine but neither particularly educational nor engaging.
Open to suggestions
Thanks

abcya.com, starfall.com are 2 of the several that my sons school uses to enhance learning.
Starfall is what all 3 of my kids enjoyed. The school also sent home a list of different sites, as well as login information if needed.
Starfall, also you can ask his teacher or the school or children's librarian, they are up to speed with all this stuff.
I know people do it but I'm not a fan of handing a kid an app.
Our son at that age liked dominoes - he could match up the numbers, and scrabble letters.
He could spell things but I think he also enjoyed the handling of the pieces.
They need to work on small motor control with their hands for learning printing and writing.
So anything that keeps their hands busy is a plus.
Child scissors and construction paper, play dough, finger paints, lacing cards, etc.
When we were kids our Mom gave us a box of large buttons and beads, some wooden spools (empty after the thread was used up) and pipe cleaners - we strung the spools, beads and buttons onto the pipe cleaners to make different shapes and made animals and people with them.
My LO likes Sushi Monster. It's a math game.
