I wouldn't worry about this unless it goes on for over a week or more. She might just not be as hungry. Kids go through this.
I have a 10 month old son and a two year old daughter. My husband and I work fulltime and work aternate weekends to take care of them. My daughter has always had a healthy appetite up to 4 days ago. She hasn't gotten her molars in but shes coughing and not eating. I'm worried that there is something going on. Shes drinking really well but wont eat and my pediatrician says offer her tylenol she might have pain and thats why shes not eating? What should I offer her I have tried everything from broths to cereals?

My daughter will be three at the end of January and is just getting in her last molar. I can't tell you how many times she would go for a week or so and only eat maybe once a day. I was so worried, because I didn't see any signs of teeth. Eventually the teeth showed up, I like like two weeks after, but she was fine. I would do tylenol or IBprophan, for the pain, but if she still doesn't eat don't worry. Just make sure she gets enough to drink. You could also try making smoothies for her (cup of yogurt, splash of milk and a bannana, just blend and put in sippy cup with straw). She also may just be growing or starting to get a cold so she doesn't feel like eating. Unless her behavior changes, I wouldn't worry about it :)
Believe it or not sometimes they are just not hungry I go through this with my son all the time but he has all his teeth just give some time when she gets hungry she will eat. Godd luck and Happy Holidays to you and yours!
My daughter does this every time she is teething. She is getting her molars in right now and eats pretty much nothing. We just keep offering some to her, and even if she gets a bite we are happy. Fluids are good, we put broth in her sippy. She likes it. We do give her motrin, but other than that there is nothing you can do but keep track of how long it is and her other symptoms. Our daughter also gets a runny nose, and a cough and sometimes a fever. She chews on everything even at 2. I know its hard to deal with your baby not eating, and its scary. Sometimes she loses 2 lbs before her tooth comes in. Hope you have good luck,
Trish
if it is teething try teething tablets...they work wonders. you can get them at the drug store or a meijers in the baby section. and cool things always feel better on the gums when teething.

She may have a sore throat ... try getting some popscials and see if that will help. If Tylenol doesn't work, try baby Motrin, it tends to work better. If she still isn't wanting to eat by Friday, I would take her to the doctor ... if she attends daycare, it's very possible for her to have strep throat. Good luck, and I hope she feels better.
I remember those times, my daughter will be 3 in March. My pediatrician told me as long as she has one good meal a day don't be to alarmed if her eating habits change. I would offer your daughter to choose from the fridge, freezer, or pantry what she wants to eat. Tylenol will probably help with the pain that it sounds like she is in. The coughing could be caused by drainage from her sinus's or the teeth coming in. I would give it a thru the holiday but if you notice a total change in how she normally is (attitude, personality) then take her in - that normally means something more is going on. Good luck - Happy holidays
Don't worry about it. My son is 3 and he will go days when he barely eats a thing and just drinks all day and then he will have days when he never stops eating. My ped. said that it's perfectly normal for toddlers. My Mom said that I went through a phase when all I would eat was cheese and apple juice. It passed after a couple of months and I was fine. As long as she isn't getting dehydrated, she'll be okay. Good luck! :)
Could be teething, could be a cold (you know how things don't taste right when you're getting sick...), could be that she's just not hungry. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it lasts a really long time - like more than 2 weeks. She'll eat when she's hungry. My daughter just got over a cold, then chicken pox, and teething all in a matter of 3 weeks (rough month!). During that time she didn't eat much, but just in the last few days she's gotten her appetite back and is eating like a little piggy again! Just make sure the things you do offer her have lots of nutrition, maybe add a vitamin in to make sure she's getting what she needs, keep her drinking lots of liquids in case she's fighting off a cold. Maybe some pediasure would be good, though my daughter wouldn't touch the stuff. The vanilla tastes good BTW. Like a cookie I think.
Good luck and don't worry about it too much.
I wouldn't worry about it.. it's probably just a phase.
Will she eat shakes? You could make a smoothie/shake type thing with spinach, fruit, banana, oat bran, carrots.. whatever else you can put in there that's healthy and if she'll drink it then she'll get some healthy stuff in!
My son is picky lately with food. I just keep offering and sometimes he'll just snack which in a way is healthier anyway as long as he's eating healthy snacks.
