Dupage Pediatrics in Darien is wonderful, but Im not sure if they are part of Dupage Medical Group or not. If they are, all the Dr.'s there are great, but Dr. Hall is my personal favorite, Dr. Gardner & Dr. Lynch are great too.
Hi Chicagoland Mamas,
My hubby's insurance is changing, and we now have to leave our beloved Loyola doctor and go with either a DuPage Medical Group or an Edward Medical Group pediatrician/med-peds doctor.
Any suggestions? The furthest west we'd go is Naperville

We go to DuPage Medical Group - Elmhurst Pediatrics location. They are great. I have never had an issue. The nurses are responsive when I call with questions and getting appointments is pretty easy.
I had a bad experience with my son at DMG in Lombard. I love Edward Hospital but have never seen a pediatrician there...
After an insurance change, I too, switched and choose DMG peds - Glen Ellyn. I have been very happy with the care received. Although let me caution you on one point. When I switched, I had medical records transferred. During the switch over, the immunizations were not properly switched over and, as a result, my child rec'd an immunization that she had been given by the previous provider. I caught the error AFTER she rec'd the 2nd immunization. The documentation was there but it was lost in the shuffle. Thankfully, there was not any adverse reaction to the additional immunization.
I recommend that you be VERY, VERY diligent about immunizations---what was rec'd, what is needed going forward, etc. Each ped/ped office has a slightly different immunization schedule.
I find DMG to be very efficient. I have not had any problem getting an appt on very short notice, insurance billing is done seamlessly and their new My Chart online system is great. Just recently, I came down with strep. Dtr #2 had a confirmed case of strep. It was a matter of time before dtr #1 came down with it. I asked for a script for dtr #1 just in case. They wouldn't give it to me. So needless to say, we have spent a lot of money to treat a household of strep with all the copays ($20/visit, medications). If this type of thing is important to you, you might ask how they handle these situations before making a final decision.
Hope this helps.
We used to go to Dupage Med in Lombard on 22nd, just behind the Target. But my husband didnt think they handled our 2 month old correctly when she had RSV. So, now we go to Dupage Pediatrics in Darien. They have been very good so far. My firend has been going there for 9 years and reccomended them (dupage peds).
