Dream Accuracy of Gender During Pregnancy

Hi all,

With the last two pregnancies, I had incredible accuracy with dreams. During the first, I had a dream that I had a boy that looks exactly like the boy I now have (age 6). For the second pregnancy, I felt like I was having a girl, but in my dreams I kept envisioning a boy who looked like the older boy. In fact, I had another boy that looks just like his brother. Currently, I'm ten weeks pregnant and felt like I was having another boy, but I dreamt that I was having a girl and could see the color of her hair and what she was wearing in the dream. We will find out at the 18 week ultrasound what we are having. The suspense is killing me! Has anyone else had good accuracy at predicting the gender of their child/children with dreams?

What can I do next?

I didn't have dreams of gender but I always 'knew' I could sense it, intuition. But did have a very vivid dream that I still remember clearly while I was pregnant with my second. It was a dream of a dark haired baby and I was in a medical emergency and then looked out of a small window into the clear blue sky. When I woke I thought it strange and it kind of scared me but at the same time I didn't feel a connect to it for the baby I was carrying which I thought was weird. When I gave birth, it wasn't anything like the dream and the baby boy was as bald as it gets.

Well, 13 months I gave birth to another boy with dark hair and it did become a sudden state of emergency directly afterwards and the last thing I remembered at the time was looking through a small window in the delivery room at the clear blue sky.

Consider the energetics of the sex, rather than taking the dreams literal. I've had about 80% accuracy of predicting the sex of those carrying. Over the years I've discovered that those girls I thought were boys turned out to be more tomboyish, while the boys I thought would be girls are more intuitive and empathic.

I never had dreams regarding the sex of my babies but I did accurately predict the gender of both based on how I was carrying and my "mother's intiution".

I think your dreams of a girl might be more wishful thinking than anything. I'd go with your wakeful gut feeling. When I was pg with my daughter, I had dreams that "it" burst forth from my abdomen, little hands reaching out, for spaghetti. Nothing but spaghetti would satisfy "it". (I don't even like spaghetti!) Needless to say, my dreams didn't come true. I had no idea "it" was girl until the U/S. With DS, I somehow knew he was a he. We told the U/S tech we didn't want to know, but I can't help but wonder if I didn't see something on that U/S that gave it away. Then again, we were practicing all those "methods" they say will help determine the sex. Well, whatever, it worked. DS was indeed a DS.

With my daughter she was baby Stewey from Family Guy. I don't even watch the show, but in every dream, my baby was Stewey. With my twins, I was 1/2 right. I dreamed I had one of each, I had two boys.

I would think the accuracy would be 50/50.

The ONLY dream I had of baby's gender while I was pregnant told me girl and I woke up feeling a little sad because I was hoping for a boy (I had always felt deep down that we would have a boy first).

Low and behold - we had a BOY! The sadness after my dream must have been my body's way of telling me that the dream was wrong :-)

When I was pregnant, I had an incredibly vivid dream of a little boy with wavy brown hair and brown eyes laughing in the bathtub.

And, I did get my brown-haired boy! But his hair is stick-straight, he's got beautiful blue eyes, and he hates taking baths!

So, 40% accuracy, but the dream was right as to gender. All my life, though, I somehow knew I'd have a boy, and I got boy-vibes from my son since I found out I was pregnant.

Nope! I always thought I would have girls, had a couple of dreams with both pregnancies about girls. One that I still remember- holding on to little fingers while a little curly-haired brunette learned to walk. My first boy was totally bald when he was learning to walk, my second boy is curly, but blonde!

Dreams are about 50% accurate at predicting the gender of the baby.
