Hi Elaine,

Although I don't have first-hand experience with Dr. Flowers, my friend had her as an OB and had nothing but WONDERFUL things to say about her. In fact, she was trying to convince me that I should go see her. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to because I'm having twins and I needed to see a doctor that could deliver me at Harris Downtown. But I've heard that she really takes time to talk with you and doesn't make you feel like she's rushed to get to her other patients. I would have gone to her if I was able...

Hope that helps a little! Good luck to you!

Dr. Flowers is THE BEST!!! She delivered my son (now 3) and she works here at the hospital where I work as well, so I see her very often. She is VERY friendly and her staff is as well. I hear she's very hard to get in to see, but for pregnant mommies, she's pretty quick I think. She's definitely worth it though!!

I see Dr. Cope who is in the same practice as Dr. Walters. I have seen Dr. Walters as well when my Dr. was unavailable. I have wonderful things to say about Womens Integrated Healthcare. It is a large practice so you have to be patient at times. For example, it is not uncommon to have a long wait for appointments as the dr's are often at the hospital for deliveries. The staff is great- They are wonderful about calling you back quickly when you have questions or concerns. My only word of advice is if you are an OB patient, schedrule your monthly and bi-weekly appointments way ahead of time so you can see your doctor each visit.

I have friends who have seen Dr. Flowers and have been happy with her as well....Good Luck

Flowers is the BEST!! I do hair, and all my clients love her. I had mine with her 18 months ago. Takes her time!! She is very popular, and is hard to get in with, cause she is so good at what she does. She really is one of the top Dr in her field!! I think I know of at least 10 people that go to her!!

I am currently seeing Dr. Walters and I really like her. She and the staff at Women's Integrated Health came highly recommended. Dr. Walters is very laid back and always spends as much time as I need her to at my appointments.

As an ex Labor and Delivery nurse that has worked with both of these Dr's I can tell you they are both exceptional. The staff is good and you would love either one of them. The choice may be in your preference's. Dr Flowers partners with 2 males who occasinally take call for her deliveries and she thiers. Dr Walters partneers with 4 other ladies who all take evening and weekend call in rotation. Either way the Dr may not be the one who actually delivers you. So if male / female is a definate consideration then this may give you something to think about.
You can't go wrong with either one of these ladies.

Flowers is TOPS! She took me on as a new pt. when I was 5 months along w/ my second. Spent 45 minutes or so letting me to interview her before I made the switch. I used a doula (Kathy O'Brien) with my delivery too & she worked great w/ her... no "power" issues. SHE EVEN DID PERINEAL MASSAGE for me during what was a really grueling labor (46 hrs. all natural)b/c she knew how important the whole process was for me. I didn't want to be cut & I didn't want meds, etc. She was fully supportive & even after I apparently made a comment in my pain & frustration about "just doing" a c-section, she didn't jump on that & use it as an excuse to do one. She knew that wasn't what I really wanted. I so appreciated that.

At annuals, she's so wonderful- takes time to visit w/ you & answer questions, etc. Just a great lady w/ 3 babies of her own.

I see Dr. Flowers and just love her! She is so great and so is the rest of the staff in the office. Dr. Flowers' nurse is excellent and always gets back to me right away if I need anything! Dr. Flowers delivered our youngest daughter and the entire experience was wonderful! I cannot say enough about how amazing she and her staff are! The other docs I have met in the office are incredible as well! They are all so nice, approachable, knowledgeable and make you feel at ease. And, any other doc (gen pract, etc.) I have seen has nothing but great things to say about Dr. Flowers! One of the doc's wifes even uses Dr. Flower's and she delivered his wife's baby, too! She is the best ob/gyn I have seen!

We were strongly considering moving back home where our family lives (about 4 hours away), but one of the number 1 reasons why we didn't is because I don't want anyone other than Dr. Walters delivering my next baby(ies). She is awesome! She knew exactly what I wanted from the beginning and honored every part of my wishes. She also knew me enough that she knew how to give me any news that may upset me or make me nervous in a way that didn't (if that makes any sense). I ended up having a C-section, and I had the easiest recovery from anyone I've ever spoken with. I know she is to thank for that. I would (and have) recommend her to anyone.

I haven't seen either of those drs. but I do see Dr. Cope in the same practice as Dr. Walters and the entire office is exceptional. The office is very comfortable and the all-female staff is just incredible.

I see Dr. Flowers as wel and love her. Her staff is great as well. She delivered my last baby, and she will be delivering this one as well (due in June). I think she is very thorough and easy to talk to. With my last pregnancy I had a test come back abnormal. The nurse let her know I was upset. She personally called me to reassure me that everything was fine (she was home sick and barely able to talk when she called). She then pulled some strings to get me into see a perinatalogist two days before Christmas so I wouldn't have to worry about it over the holidays. She does have lots of patients so you have to book routine exams well in advance (at least 6 months) and be prepared to spend some time in the waiting room even once you have an appointment.

My sister used Dr. Flowers and really liked her. My best friend used Dr. Walters and was not impressed at all. She was very vague in decision making. She never could get definite answers from her.

If it's Dr. Flowers in Grapevine I will never use her! When I had mastitis she was on call that night and was very rude about it! I guess she's never experienced that pain. She acted like I was bothering her. I know she has a great nurse (Tina) but I will NEVER use her because of the way she treated me. I guess since I wasn't her patient she didn't seem to care too much about me..... very unprofessional.
