I'm looking through my insurance list and came across this Dr James Douglas in Plano, have any of y'all seen him?? Of you that have seen him, did you have PCOS? I'm not wanting to do IFV if at all possible. Tell me your experience.

I went through infertility treatments a few years ago that lasted several years. Over the years I saw many doctors none of which were Dr. Douglas so I don't have direct experience with him personally. But in hindsight I regret that. Since I've stopped treatments I've heard nothing but wonderful things about him and have the impression that he's the absolute best around. He has alot of experience and he has a high success rate. I know several people personally that had great success with him and have done nothing but rave about him. If he's on your insurance, I wouldn't hesitate.

Good luck.

After 2+ years of ttc with #1 we went to Dr. Douglas. Within 4 months I was pregnant. We did not need to move on to IVF as I got pg on our 3rd round of injectables with IUI, but it was the next step for us.

He is a great doctor and will work with you on your options. I think he's got one of the best success rates around.

Good Luck!!!

I underwent treatment with a couple other RE's and then ended up with Dr. Douglas. We paid full price to see him, although we could have been covered under our insurance seeing other doctors. We thought it was really worth it. I did end up doing IVF with Douglas twice, and was able to get pregnant both times. My issue was endometriosis and I don't have PCOS, so I can't give you info with that.

I would also recommend Dr. Barnett, who does backup duty for Dr. Douglas (or used to when I was undergoing treatment).

Best of luck to you.

I have two sets of beautiful healthy twins courtesy of Dr. Douglas. I started with another infertility specialist who was so uncaring and downright rough & mean that it really demoralized me. A new OB/GYN referred me to Dr. Douglas and it was 180 degrees different. He is caring, his staff is caring and considerate and they really understand what a person with fertility issues is dealing with. On top of that, Dr. Douglas has a very high success rate. He got me pregnant every time he did IVF, and I had some special problems. In between pregnancies, I had to use a different doctor because I participated in a special research program; that doctor did not get me pregnant and I had only one egg left. Dr. D. was kind enough to take me back and got me pregnant - and what are the odds it would split in two? so go to him as soon as you can.
