My cousin had twins in Sept. 2007. She had the Graco Ionic Quattro Duo Stroller. I know that it can hold two infant seats.
I want to know if this product exists. I want a double stroller, with the capability to have two car seat adaptors on it, not just one. I'm having twins and don't want to have to remove one baby at a time from stroller to car. If anyone knows of a stroller/car seat combo that is built for twins I want it, price doesn't matter. Thanks!!
Thanks everyone who responded, it looks like there are couple different options for me to consider. I am brand new to MamaSource and i am loving it! I can't believe I got 17 responses to my question in less than 24 hours! I appreciate any Twin advise anyone has to give, these will be my first babies so I still have a lot to learn! Thank you again, from a mom to be in May 09.

I'll be interested in what you learn... I find out Tuesday if I have twins growing as well. My HCG numbers are so high they suspect multiples...
I think you are describing a double snap'n'go stroller. Also, there is a stroller called a double decker stroller that is really cool. I have twins and someone gave me one of those for when I had the babies in the carseats. the car seats just pop on the frame and you don't have to take the babies out of the car seat carriers. The double snap and go's are good too, I just was given the double decker stroller so I didn't need that one. Once my twins got out of the car seat carriers, I used a Peg Perego Aria Twin stroller. I loved it because it was super light and easy to carry around in my car. Congratulations on your twins. Mine were born January 20th 2006 so they will be turning 3 this year (identical boys). Also, I wanted to let you know that I own a website for families of twins called www.multiplemomsrock.com I design really nice shirts and gifts for moms, dads and grandparents to help celebrate the joy of having twins. check it out when you get a chance.
Oh yeah, also here is a tip. I don't know what the policy is in Oregon, but in California you can request a temporary handicap placard that you can use for 6 months and you can park in any handicap parking spot. My doctor had the form and helped me fill it out but I think you can get the form online somewhere. As I got closer to delivery, my doctor didn't want me to over do it, so he suggested the placard. Once the babies were born, it was sooooo nice to have that close parking spot and extra room around the car to work with the car seats, etc. Just a thought. blessings to you!
I reccomend the snap-n-go double stroller. They are long but light for your car seats. Then get a good double when they are too big for the "baby bucket" type of travel. I preferred the side by side Maclaren. Watch craigslist for used ones (especially the double snap-n-go) as you will only use it for 6 to 10 months. Also watch the twins sites for twin rummage sales. They will be a great resource to you. Enjoy!
They do make these! We shopped around Babies R us until we found what we needed. Unfortunately my twins HATED strollers so I usually ended up with one in a front pack and the other I either carried in the car seat (they fit nicely on shopping carts), or when they got older I had the other in a backpack. I got lots of sympathy looks, but what a great workout! I also would reccommend a Mothers of Multiples club if they have one in your area. They not only supply support and friendship but also access to affordable resale equipment. Also, I want to pass on the most helpful advice I ever got on caring for twin infants. ALWAYS feed them on the same schedule! When one wakes, wake the other too. It's hard to wake a sleeping baby, but otherwise you'll never get any sleep if they are on their own schedules. It's not so different than having one baby, you just do everything twice. Good luck, and congratulations. Twins are so much fun!
Snap'n'go is probably your best bet, as is Craigslist, consignment stores, and google!
I am pretty sure that Graco makes one...also, probably more convenient, is the snap and go made for two - at least while they are still in the infant car seat stage. It is just a frame of a stroller and the car seats pop right on top - it is more or less universal, so it should work with the carseats you have chosen. Once the babies are big enough for regular carseats and a regular stroller, you are going to have to do one at a time anyway...then you can get a side by side, which many people have told me is easier than a front back.
Hi S.,
I have the Contours by Kolkraft. It is the best rated for the price, takes two carseats, each in two positions, and I love it. It is so well designed, that I was able to put my twins directly into the stroller seats, without using car seats, once they reached 8 pounds or so.
Good luck,
J.
I bought the Graco Quatro Tour Duo from babies r us, and it has been a life saver! I absolutely love it, and have no complaints (although my hubby thinks its heavy to lift, I manage fine). I paid around $230 for it and it has been worth every penny. It holds 2 Graco Snug Ride carseats, has alot of storage space, and is easy to push and steer. The back seat in the stroller also converts to a bassinet style bed, which I use all the time. Congratulations on your twins!!!
you can get the Baby Trend Snap n Go.
the infant seats just snap onto it, its pretty easy to fold and unfold and is quite compact. good luck with your twins!
S.,
I have twins...2.5 yrs now. We used a tandem stroller by GRACO. This had the capability to have 2 car seats attached as well as holding the children when they got bigger. We loved it!!! You can go online to check out the different styles available.
Good luck,
T.
PS, talk to your doctor about separate sleeping beds for the babies...we had 2 bassinets and, later, cribs. They took naps on the floor with one another and played a lot...but they are still independent and sleep in their own beds.
yes there is I have one and am selling it If you are interested let me know
Not sure of brands but they do have them at Babies R Us. Congrats!

I've got a friend who had twins last March. Let me know if you'd like to e-mail her to find out her experience with strollers.
The BOB stroller has that capability. I have a single BOB and love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even if you don't want a jog stroller---I take it everywhere--it can maneuver through clothes racks at the mall easily (the double may be too wide) but nevertheless it's easy to get around with.
I have and LOVE the Contours by Kolcraft - Options Tandem Stroller. It's a great double stroller that will grow with your children. It comes with one car seat attachment, but you can purchase an additional attachment for the second car seat. Here is the link with picture and features. The versatility of this stroller is awesome and it's VERY easy to use.

The only thing is the stroller and carseats are sold separately, I just thought I would let you know!
If one exists, I wouldn't use it. The weight of the seats coupled with baby weight would make it hazardous to lift and move for most Moms and even some Dads. One combo (seat/child) will weight in the neighborhood of 20-25 lbs, two at least 50 lbs, and this is an infant (6 months or younger). I've seen twin strollers with two removable seats, but they were separated. Having two carseats together in a car is not a good thing either, the interaction between the two could become a problem as they grow older and because they're facing the back, you won't always be able to referee any interactions while driving. One baby can be problematic if they get upset, two....?!
Hi S., I found myself going through a similar process a year ago when I delivered my twins. My husband and I bought the Graco Snug Fit car seats and bought two extra bases. Of the two of styles we chose I preferred the Devon style. It just seemed to be sturdier. We didn't bother with stroller until they were out of the Graco carriers and then we got a Baby Trends side by side jogging stroller.
When we didn't want to have the Graco seats we would put them in baby wraps like the Moby : http://www.mobywrap.com/
I preferred this since I could breastfeed without having an additional cover. I was able to carry both babies in it until about 4 months and then I switched to a Mei Tei carrier and figured out how to put one on my back and one on my front.
Good luck feel free to email me if you have any questions.

I think the Bob double stroller can do that. It's a jogging stroller, but would definately be okay for everyday. just make sure you get a Bob revolution if you plan to use it for everyday so the front wheel swivels instead of being still.
There are double strollers that accommodate 2 infant seats, but they are usually big and bulky.
If it were me, I would get 2 great carseats (5 point harness and front adjuster) and a double SnapNGo style stroller (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2958408) then when babies are out of the infant seats, get a really great double stroller depending on your needs.
Come on over to car-seat.org for great advice on stollers and carseats.
I have the Graco Quattro Tour for my 8 month old twin boys and I absolutely love it. Tons of storage space, easy to get the car seats in and out, cupholders, not too heavy, easy to fold up ... I could keep going. I got it online for around $230. Definitely one of the best investments we made for the twins. Congratulations and good luck! Twins are such a blessing!
i had a snap-n-go double stroller for my twins. i used their regular car seats and they just snapped into the stroller. it was a life saver for those first few months of life. what was also cool is that they were not side by side but one in front of the other so manuvering the thing was a breeze. i used it until the girls were over 20 pounds and on to their bigger car seats. i got it on line from babies r us and it was like $129 or something. that way too you can put your money into a better, superior car seat.
good luck with the twins. they are so much fun!!
