We ordered a double stroller from www.onestepahead.com that converts to a sit and stand stroller.

I was in the same boat as you two almost a year ago. I've responded to previous posts on the same subject, so I'll just cut and paste if you don't mind...

I test drove the double strollers at Babies 'R' Us, and there's no comparison. I live near a crushed gravel, forest preserve trail and wanted something that would handle well. For me, air tires were a must, but I didn't want to buy a second stroller for the mall and/or sidewalks. I used it a lot to take walks during the summer with my newborn in her Graco carseat. It's plush and comes with many accessories, so I love that too. My kids are now 27 mo. and 8 mo.
If you'd like to test drive one and see if it fits in your car, they usually have one at Little Skye. They have two locations. Here's a link:

I drive a Ford Focus Hatchback, and it fits, but barely. It is big and heavy, but the lightest of similar strollers in the same class and it does fit through doorways. Sometimes you have to remove the cup holder that hangs off the side though. If I had the money, I'd probably buy a double umbrella stroller too, such as a McLaren or Chicco, but I wanted a stroller that had it all, including holding a car seat, and this one does! I still give it 5/5 stars!
I bought mine at www.peppyparents.com on sale with no shipping or tax, but if you talk to the Little Skye owner, I'm sure she'll match the price. Hope I helped. Good luck!

P.S. I know someone who bought the Baby Jogger double, but I didn't like it nearly as much as my own. ;-)

I forgot to mention that my son is over the 95th percentile for height, and he has plenty of headroom. At 18 mo., he hit his head on the canopy of other doubles, such as the Kolcraft Tandem. That's another reason I bought it.

I love my Kolcraft double stroller. I researched a TON of strollers when I was expecting my second. I have a 3year old boy and a 7 month old baby girl. I looked at the sit and stand but the problem with those is that my 3 year old would never get to layback or relax. He still naps and loves falling asleep on walks. THe Kolcraft allows both kids to lay back and fits a car seat. When my daughter gets bigger we simply conver the carseat area and replace it with the actual seat. It is very easy.

Hey there! I'm also due in August and my son will be 22mo so we're in the same boat. Although I have narrowed down my choices I just need to go see them in person. All 3 of these are infant car seat compatible. Just double check with them for your Chicco car seat just to make sure. I personally am a fan of side by side because if kids take a nap they both recline fully and I just can't maneuver a tandem.

Here is the one I'm leaning towards: Bumble Ride Twin Indie
http://www.bumbleride.com/collection2008/indie-twin.php

I've found a store that has it to view and I found it cheaper online with free shipping too. Let me know if you're interested.

Here is a video on it, too:

The other one I was considering is: Bob Revolution AW Duallie
http://www.bobgear.com/strollers/stroller_accessories.php...

And finally here is a tandem: Kolcraft Contours Options Double. http://www.babyearth.com/contours-by-kolcraft-contours-op...
They carry it at Babies R' Us.

If you have any other questions let me know.
Hope this helps.

Congrats! Mine are 15 months apart. So I JUST posted a respons for someone else I'm just going to paste it. Good luck!

I'm for babywearing too, there are a ton of great carriers out there, much more cozy than a car seat (or a stroller). Plus, I've heard that babies really shouldn't stay in a car seat for too long, it's not good for them or their developing bodies. That said, we ended up getting a Phil & Teds and LOVE IT! It's not too wide and it's not too long. Good luck.

Hey C.!
We have a Sit and Stand from Right Start that Kelley loved and fit Jeremy's carseat (Graco). Now that he's older and doesn't need the carseat attachment, he loves it. Kelley loves that she can get in and out as she likes, which is a bonus for our almost 4 year old. If you want to check it out sometime, give Jason or I a call! Good to link up with you again :)
