Hi Mama's on the run!

I'm a jogger and love my single Bob stroller. We're due for #2 in July, and I'm wondering if those of you that have been in the same boat have found that a double jogger was worthwhile? And if so, which brand were partial to (Bob, Baby Jogger, Phil & Teds... those are the 3 I've looked at since they were carried by REI but I'm open to hearing about others!)

I was also wondering if you even found yourselves actually bringing both kiddos to jog. (My son will be 2 yrs old when the newborn arrives). Is that realistic for me to expect, or perhaps I'm better off 'splitting the duties' and taking one, while the husband has the other. What do you think?

I still think I'll need a double stroller in general, but I guess my debate is whether or not it should be a jogging one.

THANKS!

What can I do next?

I use my double jogger a lot, and I'm not even a jogger! I do a lot of stroller walks in the neighborhood, rollerblade with it, and run errands with it. I have a BumbleRide Twin Indie, which compares with the Bob Dualie. It is SO EASY to push that I love using it, but on hills, the weight is a workout. I like my stroller b/c it came with the conversion bar for the infant seat, it's attractive, turns on a dime, and the company has wonderful customer service (in Calif).

Hi! Blessings for your new baby! Well I have my second baby when the first one was 1yr and 7 months old, so I needed a double stroller too. The one I chose was the city mini double jogging stroller because it is the lightest one available, and since I knew that at some point I would have to go out with the two babies by myself I needed the easiest one to handle. I have it, I use it even at the mall and most important I really do love it!

i'm not a jogger but take long fast walks. i LOVED my bob but didn't think i would need the double bob so got something else. it only took one walk and i knew i needed by bob back. i love the double bob for the walks. it's not a good stroller for the mall or other narrow places, but for walking streets, you can't beat it in my opinion. good luck!

I have a double BOB and love it. I won't lie to you though, now that they are older (3.5 and 2) they are HEAVY! But since my husband is gone a lot I do use it for a lot of walking the dog and running. I do not take it with us anywhere unless it is an all day outing to an event or race and I know they will get tired. For errands the older walks and the younger walks or goes in an umbrella stroller (bjorn when she was a baby still). I love having it but could live without it if my hubby were around to watch them more. It is a superior stroller though! We love the quality. There are usually some used ones available on Craigslist if you want a bargain.

My girls are 17 months apart. I am not a "runner," so I got the Phil & Ted. You can "run" with it, but it is not made as a joggy stroller. I had a single Bob before I got the Phil & Ted and the Bob moves easier and is easier to push when running. I do really like the Phil & Ted as it is lightweight and moves easily. Good luck!

I have a baby trend double jogger, I bought it off a friend for 80 dollars, I have 4 kids, and 3 friends with 4 kids also, so there are ALWAYS little ones around whom need pushing, I have found a way to comfortably and safely seat 4 children into my double, the extra weight of it doesn't bother me, I actually find it easier to push than my baby trend sit and stand because it has 16in bicycle wheels on it verses traditional stroller wheels, it also has easier to access storage, and more storage for that matter, I don't know what I would do without my double jogger, and I don't do much running, just A LOT of walking.. Congratulations on your newest bundle! And I hope you find a stroller that works for you... X
