Call the pharmacist or the pediatrician's office. I wouldn't take the advice of anyone on this website for a question like that.
i have under gone a double eyelid surgery and i am taking antibiotics, is it okay to breast feed my 11 months old baby because she keeps rejecting nan and all. Although i have started to feed her solid foods but she won;t stop crying because i have been feeding her breast milk only. Please advice.

Call the pharmacist and see if it's OK to breastfeed with the antibiotics you're taking. It's my guess that it isn't OK but you need to check with the pharmacist to know for sure.
The baby gets whatever medication you're taking when you breastfeed.
She will eventually drink formula when she's hungry enough. It might help to have someone else feed her with you out of the room. (I don't know what you mean by nan and all.)
Unless she's a year or older she cannot get enough nutrition out of solid foods. She needs formula. Depending on her age she may be more willing to drink it if you give it to her in a sippy cup.

Welcome to mamapedia!
Contact your pharmacist and your pediatrician. Most antibiotics are okay to take while breast feeding, however, err on the side of caution and ask.
Good luck!
If your antibiotics are in eye drop form, I wouldn't hesitate. If you are taking oral antibiotics, MOST of them are going to be fine. And it's less of a concern in an 11 month old versus a newborn. I agree with checking with your doctor or pharmacist, but be prepared to have them tell you not to breastfeed because they don't know any better. You can also look up your antibiotic here: http://neonatal.ttuhsc.edu/lact/medicationforumspage.html Click on the side for guest and then click into the antibiotic forum. Dr. Hale is well known in the breastfeeding world for his expertise on medicines and breastfeeding. You could also call your local La Leche League people and have one of them look it up in his book. If your doctor does tell you that you can't breastfeed, I would ask him/her to switch you to a breastfeeding friendly antibiotic. Good luck!
