We are going out of town in Feb and we have 2 Boxers. We had a neighbor lined up to watch our dogs while we were gone and she just canceled on us. I am scrambling trying to find a place to board them or a pet sitting service. Any recommendations?

What can I do next?

My mother in law used a place off harper in clinton township and they were great and she even brings him back for visits but I can't remember the name, if you want the name contact me and I will call her. I wouldn't mind watching them, but I have kids, it would give them the experience of having a dog around because they really want me to get one for them. We live in Shelby Twp in an apartment but they have a dog park and the kids would take them out all the time and play with them. Let me know...

If you know any college students who still live at home or who live in a dorm, they might love the chance to get out of their parents' house or their tiny dorm room for a while. That's what we did. They'll pratically do it for free just to have the fun of being on their own in a nice house for a while.

I don't know what part of town you are from, but I am a veterinarian and have clients that love a few places in the Novi/Commerce area. Club Pet 2, The Paw Print Inn, and Camp Bow Wow. I think all of those places have play time with other dogs as an option too, but you may hvae to bring your dogs there for an evaluation first. Good Luck.

We board our dog at Olivias Pet Resort on Van Dyke and 21 mile rd. Can't say enough about them. They are wonderful and let the dogs run free and play most of they day.
