Wrapped. Part of the fun of Christmas is unwrapping the presents.
Added: my BFF taught me this - Santa wraps each person's gifts in their own wrapping paper, no need for tags
I know Santa wraps some people's presents and leaves some people's unwrapped.
What's the norm in your house?
I agree--it is CRUCIAL that Santa uses different paper! Learned that the hard way one year. ("Yeaaaah...I guess Santa had some of the same paper.......mumble,mumble")

Santa wraps everything but the big things, like bikes. Pillow pets had bows on them last year, they didnt want to be wrapped :) I would think it would be no fun to see everything all at once. The tree is so much prettier with all of the wrapping and bows. There are a couple of late nights for Mr and Mrs Claus, but it is well worth it :)
Yes. Always wrapped.
I have ALWAYS bought special "Santa" paper that only Santa uses to wrap gifts with. Whatever is left over, goes in with all the rest of my paper and it is no longer "Santa's" paper. How did I explain that? Santa brings paper and wraps them at each house. That way, the bows and ribbons don't get smashed in his bag, AND he is certain he is leaving the right gifts for the right kids---no accidental mixups! And he just leaves the remainder of the roll behind, because it is easier for him once the roll has been opened...
;)
Even the gifts from Santa in the stockings are wrapped.
Santa wraps our gifts. Always with a different themed gift wrap each year. Mom's gift wrap is never as cool as Santa's... LOL
Yes. Santa gifts are wrapped. Even stocking stuffers are wrapped - except candy.
Both. I like the look of having some wrapped and some unwrapped. I always take a picture before they see it. It gives me a great deal of pride to see it over flowing with pretty wrapped presents, and a few iconic gifts unwrapped. Such as O. year it was a wagon with a teddy bear in it, O. year a big fire truck, the bikes of course, O. year a dollhouse. I haven't decided what to leave unwrapped this year, maybe the remote control helicopter. Remember to always wrap Santa gifts in a totally differant wrap from the mom and dad gifts. That's how I caught on to my mom and dad.
Nope. Santa is way to busy to wrap presents. He's also in a hurry so he just tosses what he brings and it stays where it lands. And he leaves a milk ring and cookie crumbs on the table.Santa does not bring ALL of the gifts though. The family gifts that are exchanged are the ones that are wrapped.
We always wrapped the presents from Santa... and O. year, our oldest (who was getting suspicious about Santa) commented....
"I know these are from Santa... we don't HAVE this kind of wrapping paper!" .. so, after Christmas, I went out and bought several rolls of that paper.... and used that ONLY as Santa paper! Santa also made special name tags... and signed it with a quick Santa face I created.. (I'm not artistic... just a quick face, santa hat, and beard...)
Santa wraps our gifts unless they're big items such as a kids kitchen set or dollhouse. Nothing is wrapped in the stocking. Santa always needs to remember to use different paper than I do though...stick to O. design per year. :)
Yes, Santa wraps gifts in our house and puts them under/around the tree. They are always wrapped in Santa paper with santa tags - and are the only gifts in santa paper/santa tags.
Stocking stuff is not wrapped.
Wrapped.
And the tag on it says "To:.... From: Santa"
Stuff in the stockings, are not wrapped.
Both. Gifts in stockings are typically unwrapped. Gifts under the tree are wrapped.
I am a nut for wrapping..
So my mother in law throw a wrapping Party. We get a sitter...My husband comes over and puts the toys together that require batteries and/or assembly...and I wrap the little stuff.
Christmas is normally bought by her, and then she gives me half to give them at home. Then we go over for Breakfast and Santa Clause Gifts.
I am not sure how this year is going to go. I have told EVERYONE I do not want stuff bought. I know that this message is falling on deaf grandma's....Cause my MIL has told me she has already bought stuff.
My kids are getting hand made stuff this year. It is all awkward enough, I doubt any of it will get wrapped...But we will see how that goes:)
Here is what I am doing:) My neighbor is mister crafty. He has these rubber band shooters, he carves out of wood. So he is making three of those. My MIL is buying the supplies to make them giant fleece tie Sleeping bags. We are going to put a layer of cotton padding in between the layers. Then the last thing is wrestling dumbies..... Going to the second hand store...buying three bigger size baby snow suits...filling them with tire foam or something in the spray to solid/soft foam stuff. My kids LOVE wrestling....but I am tired of them hurting O. another...Hoping this is a good alternative:)
See what I mean with awkward.....I am hoping someone in the family/Friend circle gets something that comes with a giant box....Cause that would be like gold as a Christmas gift....Hey just realized what I want for Christmas....A Card Board box...Wow..Ok anyways...onto reading the response's:)
This was a good Change from Politics:) Totally LOVE IT!
Growing up, Santa did not wrap gifts, but at my husband's house, he did. My husband wants Santa to wrap them for our house. I'd make him do it himself, but I rather he watch the kids so I can get some peace and quiet.
Santa wraps them here! It's always more fun to unwrap a gift. And we have to get things organized before gift unwrapping can happen so if they see the gift laying their unwrapped and can't touch it yet that would be torture, lol.

Hi O.-
Santa here 'went green' years ago...especially when all the kiddos were younger...Santa had tags... and each kid had a 'bag' (each a different colour and design) that he brought 'their' gifts in yearly.
Gifts from mom and dad and other relatives were all wrapped though...and just out under the tree.
Now that kids are all older 'santa' is only real for shannon...so we all focus on her...and I have gone back to wrapping gifts from santa for her...O. of the true joys of her delays...there will always be santa...easter bunny...etc for her!
Best luck!
Have a 'merry'

Nope no wrapping here! All the toys are open and ready to be played with!!!
No. Santa leaves his gifts sitting out so the kids can see them first thing in the morning. Santa usually brings a big item to our house though, bicycles, Kangaroo Climbers for the kids bedroom, all kinds of outdoor things....not really something easily wrapped but even if they were smaller...no. I am not taking a chance the kids will find that particular paper some time during the year.
Nope, no wrapping for Santa.
Not wrapped, and not under the tree. Santa leaves presents in and next to the stocking (if something is too big). We do presents from each other on Christmas Eve, and then Santa presents in the morning on Christmas Day! :-)
Wrapped. I have special "santa" wrap although it's really more for my benefit at this point! My kids are too little to notice I think but I don't want to risk it! I leave it unwrapped if it's a bulky item. This year my son is getting a push shopping cart and we'll probably assemble it and leave it unwrapped with a giant tag with his name on it. Sometimes I wrap stocking stuffers, but not all of them, usually movies or books b/c they are easy shaped!
Santa gifts are wrapped in special glimmery wrapping paper (kids only get 1 santa present). Mom and dad's presents are always wrapped in the cheap stuff.
Santa's pretty green in our house--no wasted wrapping paper for Santa's gifts
Santa wraps at our house with special wrapping paper which is hidden in the far corner of the storage room. I was sort of indifferent but my husband thought it was important to wrap the santa gifts so I do the majority of our gift wrapping, Hubby wraps for Santa.
No, Santa doesn't wrap at our house. Santas gifts all sit out near the fireplace cause that how he got in and family gifts are all wrapped and under the tree. Oh and I also know too many people who have been caught out with the wrapping paper even if its a gift from someone else. :-)
Some of both, back when we did it. And Santa always had his own special wrapping paper hidden high up in the closet.
Nope. Santa gifts are not wrapped. In the stocking if they fit or if not, then the stocking is laying on them (like when Santa brought a play kitchen).
Nope, Santa doesn't wrap-- and for some reason all of the hard to wrap presents are from Santa....
Yes - and my kids have never paid attention to the paper. But this year I'll buy special paper for Santa. Maybe just red?? Not sure. The kids are getting some LARGE Santa gifts this year (think electric guitar, drums, and keyboard). So those will just get big bows.
Majority of Santa is unwrapped. My kids run into the family room to see a nice display where they taped their name up for Santa to know exactly where to place their presents. However, Santa will wrap a couple here and there and place them under the tree but definitely, different wrapping paper is a must!!!
