Yes, The Joy Luck Club......The movie is great but the book is even better if you get a chance to read it. All of Amy Tan's books are good.
I am trying to figure out name of this movie. it's about a group of 1st generation immigrant oriental women and their 2nd generation daughters. one of the women drowned her son to get back at her husband while in china. one had a very unaffectionate husband that she couldn't stand and at the end one of the 1st generation women found out that her twin sisters who she believed to be dead were still alive and she got to meet them. does anyone know the name of this movie? i want to go buy ot so bad!!! thanks in advance ladies!

I believe it's "The Joy Luck Club"
The Joy Luck Club - Amy Tan's books are awesome. There are others too.
it sounds familiar, like something I may have watched on lifetime at 4am so I can't really remember it well. I found a link on amazon.com where someone pulled together a list of their favorite movies about china.
