I am looking at getting the Patapum and wondering some pros and cons.
http://www.patapum.eu/index.php/products/patapum_baby_car...
I want to get it for when baby is older and we can take walks around the block while my 4 year old is riding her bike.
I was wondering what you really like, how warm is it in the summer and what you dislike about it. I have around a month to decide about it.
I also didn't know when the head rests were needed what ages I could wear the baby at with this and so on..
I have a moby for when she is an infant and will use that.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

well we traded with a friend. She has a patapum and I have the angelpack.
We will trade back when baby gets bigger
Ergo seems like it is not the best choice for us, I will look at the one you guys are suggesting.
Thanks

My only issue with the patapum is that it is sized so small, you might not be able to use it for a toddler carrier.

Many moms swear by the Ergo. We chose a Beco carrier as it adjusts enough to fit both myself (nearly 5') and my 6' husband and we didn't want to buy two carriers for one baby.:) The design has been modified to make it very, very safe getting baby in and out, and the beautiful fabric panels are a plus (esp when you are wearing a milk-stained shirt under it). I used this carrier with my son from 6 weeks until he was nearly 2.5. Lots of padding for the head, but no 'head catcher' -- a hat works just as well for shade.:)

I'm with hazel, the beco is wonderful. I hated the ergo.

I love a good quality wrap for when they are really little. The moby is just too....stretchy.....I also use slings for when we run quick errands. Super easy to pop a newborn in and out of.

I admit it, I have way too many baby carriers! But I do love the beco for carrying around a toddler.

Looks just like the Ergo baby carrier, which I had. You can carry your child in it on the front and the back, like carrying a backpack. It's best for ages 4 months and up, I even carried my 3 year old in it on a hike when he got tired last fall. The Ergo is a really comfortable carrier to wear, lots of people have them and speak highly of them.

Ergo...hands down.

My husband can still carry our Autistic 4 year old in it, when we go out places that he may have sensory issues with.

I dont know about the carrier you are asking about. But I know there are a few that are way way expensive and not worth it.

Ergo has lots of pockets and I LOVE the (as I call it)the Head catcher. It is a piece of cloth that is attached to the back of the carrier you can pull over their heads and connect to the shoulder straps. It can block the sun from them or be used to help the sleeping child hold their head a bit easier.

I wish they made over sized ones that could accommodate a larger child...So that we could size up and still be able to carry our man around. He is getting to be a little long for it to carry him easily.

My recommendation, Ergo all the way! Especially for quick outings.

It looks just like the Ergo, which costs about $100 or less and carries up to 50lbs or more. Mine lasted for years and I gave it to another mom.

I want to second Hazel W.'s recommendation of a Beco. I tried out an Ergo, a Beco, an Oh! Snap, and SEVERAL other carriers (including the Moby) and the Beco was by far my favorite. This one looks like a small Beco.
