hello

I need a doctor that is close to ucf area that is willing to take new clinets and is not that pricey for people without insurance. I was going to interlachen in oviedo but that want 120.00 dollars for the 5yr checkup plus 10.00 for each shot and that is alot of money now if it was 120.00 for everything i would maybe do it but it's not. So if someone could help with some doctors that would be great.

What can I do next?

Hi R.,
I have three children and I know how the bills can add up. I have FL. healthy kids. It's a great state program. They do base it on your income but it has been a life saver for me. You can apply online. Another option would be the third Wed of every month there is a free clinic at Good Shepard church in the E. Orlando area. My mother inlaw is a voluteer there. Hope that helped...:)

I'm not sure of the pricing for cash patients, but I have been taking my daughter and I now take my newborn son to Dr.Lisa Ramey. She used to be with Oveido Pediatrics but recently opened her own office in Oviedo off Wembley( near central) called Integrative Pediatrics. Her staff is AMAZING! My husband is a paramedic so he can be pretty hard to please when it comes to health care for our children, but he would never think of changing to a different pediatrician. And we live in Mims so it about a 30-45min drive. But totally worth it ! She is wonderful! Call her office and they will give you pricing.I don't think they will be as much as the other place.Good luck!

Hi R.,

I don't know if this will help you or not, but I was just at a workshop for my job and found out that there is government funded free insurance for children. Here is the website, check it out to see if it is something that works for you:

Central florida family health center on Alafaya ###-###-#### works on a sliding scale basis, based on income and they have a pediatrics section. I am a hospital social worker and we refer to them all the time. you can call for an appt but they do better as a walk in, before 10am.
