M.S.
I think anything is worth persuing in this economy. However if it were me I would advertise in free locatons. You can google free places to advertise put in your general location and you would be amazed of all the places to advertise.
I mean, do you think people are spending money on that right now? And if anyone knows who would hire for that - let me know!

It might be worth pursuing as a side business, or a way to make a little extra cash, at least to start out. I think for most people, it's a nice-to-have instead of a necessity, but you never know! Perhaps you could do a limited-time discounted trial offer to build up a clientele that could help you get referrals?
Good luck!
Hi you could have your own website and charge for on line consultations. I am very disorganized even though I try the whole day to be organized, well we have a huge problem with lack of storage and that does not help, but hey you could advice on that too!
My neighbor and I were just talking about this because she found a woman on Craigslist.com who came in and organized all her kids clothes. They have a large house with two master bedrooms, one that her two girls share so you can imagine the size of that closet and how much stuff they had. She loved it and said she was recommending her to anyone she knew. This may not be a big money maker in the beginning but by advertising on free places like craigslist.com and referrals, you could really create a great business for yourself.
Another place, other than the great www, is local coffee shops or salons that have a board allowing people to post flyers with a number strip on the bottom....popular in downtown HB where we live.
Good luck!
And you can advertise on mamapedia, too :-)
There are associations for that, if you really want to be professional about it. Google them. I'll bet there are general tips on how to reach potential customers.
Hi M.,
I have an ex-teacher friend who did this for a little while. One of the problems was that your clients don't return, once you organize their life, they don't need you anymore, so you are always busy chasing down new clients. When you put a lot of energy into something, make sure the energy coming back is equal.
Good luck,
Wendy
