Hi everyone-
After a horrible experience with a doctor trying to manhandle my three year old, I am in search of a new family practitioner. I'm just looking on the Blue shield website and was wondering if any of you had any experience with the Physician associates of Pasadena, Pasadena Primary Care physicians, or Physicians Healthway IPA. Positives? Negatives? Anything really. :)

A warm thank you to everyone that replied, it's really appreciated. I was stressing out over this as I consider it a big deal who gets to see my kids! :) After being on the computer for HOURS looking over the reviews online, it was nice to have some direction from the moms on this group. The recommendations were great and we now not only have a new pediatrician, but a new family practitioner as well! :) Thanks millions girls, from the bottom of our hearts.

We go to Rose City Pediatrics and really like it....our Dr. is Dr. Mark Powell....but have also heard wonderful things about Dr. Maria Gokey....we also have Blue Cross, so your insurance should be fine....

I have been taking my son (who is now 4 yrs. old) to Huntington Medical Foundation (Pediatrics) located at 55 E. California Blvd., Ste. 200, Pasadena, CA 91105; ###-###-#### since he was 1 week old. (Blue Cross/Blue Shield) They are great! The RNs & doctors have been appropriate in their handling of my child. No manhandling there. Dr. John E. Legault has the "bedside manners" down. I was impressed. However, he is probably closed to accept new patients. His wife, Margaret Legault is probably closed too. They do have a wonderful staff of other pediatricians there in their medical group (most are women). All the vaccines they use are thimerasol free. That was my main concern when I was "interviewing" Pediatricians for my newborn. Also, always go w/your "gut feeling" about the doctor. If you or your child do not feel comfortable w/that person, find someone else. Also, it's o.k. to switch doctors (even w/in the same medical group). I did when I was pregnant (switched from 1 O.B./GYN to another in the same office). Good Luck w/your search!

I take my daugher to Dr. Oreggio on Green street and Catalina in Pasadena- he is a family practitioner- very warm and respectful. He isn't in the groups you mentioned but may accept the insurance. He's great.

We have a wonderful pediatrician--in fact all Doctors in the office are great and come highly recommended by other friends who also take their children there. The office is under Healthcare Partners IPA Pasadena-but their office is Huntington Medical foundation at 55 E. California Blvd. The phone number is ###-###-####. Dr. Kim, Dr. Heller, and Dr. Chapman are just some of the ones we have seen there and love. They have a great kid-friendly waiting room as well. I know they take Blue Shield and Blue Cross.
That is NO fun,
after a crappy experience as well we start looking around and found Dr. Inoyne and dr Nakashima in downtown Los Angeles. They have a great reputation. Dr. Inoyne talks to and handles our daughter with great care and respect. We love her.
