Do MOMS Really Want to Work Part Time and Is It Even Worth It?

As a mom I recently started staying over the past two years. I wanted to have another child before hitting the big 4 0 and thought that it would be a good thing to do since my older ones were getting older and I had missed so much time with them. I found a great opporunity to work from home while the older ones are at school and I have started to make GREAT income every month. But I am expecting another child and something keeps nagging at me that I am not doing enough and that I am not achieving much? WHEWW! I feel great about contributing to our income at home but I often feel that I am missing something when it comes to WORK and being at my fullest potential. Is this just a stay at home mom phase or do moms really want to work from home?

What can I do next?

It may be your emotional hormones from expecting making you feel the way you do. Have you thought about doing volunteer work to get out. Maybe church, school, community etc... That way you won't feel that your not doing enough and you can still work from home and contribute financially.

Congrats on the upcoming addition to the family and Best Wishes.

If you work your own business, YES! It definitley can be worth working only part-time. I am a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant and I love what i do because I see results! My director is having a conference call tonight and I would love to invite you to just listen to what she has to say about it. It starts at 9:00 tonight and it only lasts 30 mins. Give me a call---T. I worked part time out side of the home for my sons first 2 years or so. I know that is different than owning your own business from home, but I am sure glad I was able to get out of the house and associate with other people who are not drooling and use my brain for more than ABC's lol.

Now I work part time, but I also am able to work from home sometimes which helps when I have a lot of stuff to do! Working part tiem allows me to get all the chores done, and still feel productive.

I'm sure that you are just going through and adjustment phase. After all you are going through some significant changes, I am sure things will come together for you!
