J.✰.
My son giggles with the phrase "I'm pooped" and so when he giggles, it gets M. giggling.
I think the word "hiney" is kind of funny.
J. a silly question, only one makes M. giggle like a little kid
bequeath (i think thats the spelling) we were at my ex's parent's house for a xmas party (actually while we were already separated for a few months, so a little awkwardness), with all of the relatives ranging from 18 - 75 in the room and my ex says something bequeefed him, and I try and correct him and we all start laughing, the whole room bursts into laughter correcting him and he was so adamant that it was the right pronunciation. Every time I read or hear it I still giggle. Broke the tension too=) So is there a word that reminds you of a funny time or turns you into a laughing kid?

Poot. I hate that word so much!! But every time I think about it, I think of a converstion with my son about a friend (sort of) who nicknamed her daughter pooter-butt when she was little. He was killing M. in the car and I was trying to drive while there were tears in my eyes from laughing.
My son's remarks:
Who does that? And how do you and answer the "how did she get her nickname" questions? Do you say, "Well when she was a baby she had continuous explosive diahrrea and it all started there." Do you say, "Well, she's lactose intollerant." Do they hate her, mom? Do they hate Pooter-butt? What about when her friends come over? Does she say, "They aren't calling M., they're calling the dog. Pooter-butt! Get off the sofa!"
Now I think of that word and go to that conversation and crack up all over again.
ETA; "behoove" makes M. think of something that has hooves - i.e.: that horse is "behooved."
OMG!!! Lisa, that is so funny.
Mine is a German word.
schinken-hosen
Schinken means ham
Hosen means pants
My hubby was trying to remember the word for butterfly to impress our foreign exchange student. So instead of Schmetterling he said Look!!! a Schinken-Hosen!!
Also Schlange, German for snake. Pronounced shlahnguh, yeah hubby and I had fun with that one too.
Pecker... It's J. a funny word!
Moist. Everytime I hear moist, regardless of how its being used I giggle like I am 6. I have no idea why its such a giggle inducing word but it is
Yes...the word "hubby" because I know it sends Theresa N into anaphylactic shock every time she reads it! (You're welcome, T, no need to thank M.!)
I had a prof once that REALLY over-used the word "behoove".
Spotted Dick(English pudding)
cracks M. up every time I pass a backing goods aisle.
I know its immature but the word "duty" or "duties" always makes M. giggle.
Sofa King
I've seen it on signs and makes M. crack up!
(sounds like a bad word)
Making love! Weirds M. out, and makes M. feel like a kid hearing it~
J. the other day my friend was talking about the word couth. I think it sounds like a naughty word, so I think it is ironic that it actually means cultured;polite and refined.
The word poopy is J. a classically funny sounding word to M.!
Fracking cracks M. up! A term for hydraulic fracturing. Now doesn't that sound like a fracking good time?? Bwhahaha.
The word Brangelina makes M. giggle and cringe at the same time. Seriously, it sounds like an STD or a private body part to M..( i.e. I hope that guy doesn't give M. Brangelina on my Brangelina again!!) Bwhahahaha!
A.
Hiney!
this one always sends myself and my kids into the giggles.
ROFL
on man I can J. see Queen Elizabeth saying " I'd like some Spotted Dick to accompany tonight's dinner with the Prime Minister."
Sac
I live in California and used to live near Sacramento. Everyone J. shortens it to Sac. A lot of people like to go to Old Sacramento which has a lot of shopping, but they shorten it like: "Hey I'm going to old Sac today, wanna come?" I J. can't help but to giggle and repeat "old sac" under my breath.
Or when they go to the airport...
"I'm going to go to Sac to pick up grandma today." LOL, I J. can't help it.
Furthermore.....I used to say 'fudumore' as a child, and have told my own kids and everyone still laughs at M..
::deep breath:: ok, here goes:
pooted, queef, taint, dingleberry, dipstick, doohicky, dingus.
Try saying that 5 times fast!
Gosh, that was hard..and embarrassing, lol. Funny post!
Some words to see in print are J. fun to say, others I do a double take cuz they look naughty. My latest that hubby and I make a big joke about... LaQuinta , as in the hotel chains. We saw them a few times traveling out west from MN and I think they have some here now, but it looks like a naughty word to M. for some reason! So I started using it as one and it makes my husband crack up every single time, which of course makes M. giggle. Sometimes he forgets I have a sense of humor I think! LOL
Example...we are new to bike riding again (since we were kids..ugh). He complains he needs a fancy seat as his hind end hurts. I tell him my La Quinta is tired of my bike seat. He BUSTS out laughing (he almost fell off his bike!). Now thats the joke and the definition of La Quinta for us. We giggle like middle schoolers!
Hmm...will have to think of more!
Mine is a spanish word. "Whale" in Spanish sounds like "vagina". I never say whale. Also, when I was in Mexico I said, to my father in law, that something was bothering M.. I said it wrong. ONE LITTLE LETTER was wrong, so it sounded like I said I was masturbating. oops. So, when I speak spanish I do not say "whale" or "bother".
Every time I here/say "pantyhose"....it's such a stupid word, who came up with it? I chuckle every time!
I always laugh at the truck the Super Duty. Can't even type it w/out laughing. Speaking of duty, my hubby worked w/ someone whose last name was Doody (no idea how it was spelled). Every time hubby mentioned the poor guy, I laughed. He couldn't understand why it was still funny. Hey, I spend all day w/ 2 little boys, poop and farts are funny!!Thanks for the giggles!!
I'll have to think about this and come back! ☺
Jiggles or jiggly
"Watch it wiggle... See it jiggle..."
And I like Nuffio's suggestion too. ☺
Heh heh... You said duty.
Ninja...don't know why J. makes M. smile. :)
