Hi Mamas! I am looking for your recommendations for a hotel at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA. Travelling with my husband and almost 2 y.o. son. The Disney Hotel is renovating so their pool will be closed which means everyone staying their will be directed to one of the sister hotel's pools (Paradise Pier and/or Disney Grand.) That being said, I'd rather avoid these 3 hotels. Ideally looking for something within walking distance that's clean and quiet with fridge, microwave and pool. Regular room or suite - we are open.

Please share any area travelling tips too! Thank you!!!!

We stayed at The Anabella Hotel (http://www.anabellahotel.com/) and loved it. This was a few years ago, but we got a great deal from hotels.com and paid about $80/night for a Mission Suite. The hotel was very clean, an easy walk to the park (about 10 minutes) and there was a small room with a door that would be perfect for a little one to sleep in. Good luck and enjoy your trip!

Hi K.-
We live in San Diego but when we go up there we go on hotwire.com and book our hotel rooms through them. I don't know which hotels have a microwave or not but it has a Star system and a map so you can see where they are located to Disneyland. I would key in South or North Disneyland, because that is walking distance to Disneyland. They don't tell you what the hotel name is until after you book it but if you click on the stars it tells you what hotels are used for that star. Example 4 stars is Hyatt & Omni, whereas 3 stars is Radisson & Doubletree. Then you can look at those hotels on line and call them to see if they have the services you are looking for, and how close are they to Disneyland.

If this doesn't make sense then contact me and I can try to explain it better.

Have a great vacation!!
Stephanie

The Portofino Hotel is really nice and has a kid suite that has master room then a kid room connected. Also has a pool and walking distance to Disney.

we stayed at the Californian? Not sure exactly what the name is off the top of my head since it's been a few years, but it was connected to Disneyland.

I also don't remember (sorry, it's the blonde, over 40 and pushing 50, with 2 teenagers brain) exactly what our room was. But I do remember being comfortable and that we had adjoining rooms with my mom who came with us.
