We will be going to Disneyland next month. I was wondering where is the best place to buy tickets and hotel. It would be great to stay at the park but it is already full. So we need a to stay at "good neighbor hotel" so which is the best ones to stay at.
Also where is it cheaper to buy tickets for the park?

So What Happened?

Thank you all! Well we finally decided to wait until next year when my little one gets a little bigger and before my oldest starts school next year. So far the best deals are through costco.
We are still going on a family vacation. We are going to Hawaii so maybe it is great that we are waiting a little longer.
Thank you!

I would also recommend gettingone of those entertainment books like you get get here that a lot of kids sell for fund raisers and such. They give you tons of coupons for hotels, parks, places to eat etc. Think that would be well worth the investment. They sell them a lot at bookstores and such. Just go to the website listed on it and then choose the location you are visiting and you can buy it and have it shipped to you.

I just moved here from southern California a few months ago. I love Disneyland and when we'd go we would make a weekend trip out of it. We stayed at the portofino inn suites which is within walking distance to the park. This hotel has a master bedroom with an attached kids suite with bunkbeds. I wish I could guide you in the right direction torwards discount tickets, I always lucked out with either friends who worked there OR discounts through work. You might be able to get away with getting your three year old in for free though. I know it's two and under but I managed to get my oldest in without a problem twice while she was three. I hope you have a WONDERFUL trip. :)

I used to live in So Cal, and quite frankly there never is a "good deal" on Disneyland tickets. Right now they should be offering a discount to So Cal residents, but that probably won't help you (unless you know someone who lives there). Just get tickets at the park. If you're planning to do more than one amusement park in So Cal, you might want to check out Costco as they offer a nice discount on a park bundle package. As far as hotels, we usually stay at The Residence Inn in Fountain Valley. It's not too far of a drive to Disneyland, and it's very close to Huntington Beach - which has an awesome Main St & pier shopping area.

If you don't have your heart set on DisneyLand and would like to go to DisneyWorld. Here's contact info for the travel agent we used to book. ____@____.com She works FOR Disney so there is NO charge for you. She searches all the bargains, rates, ticket purchasing, meals (we did the meal plan and would recommend that to EVERYONE). It's not gross buffet stuff you actually eat at full service restaurants and it includes character meals. One thing that is also cool is that they take a payment plan. So if you are planning on going next year you can start paying now. It can be as little as $20 a month. After we got our estimated price; she found another way to save us $200.00 and credited it back. If you have any questions PM me and I'll give you the scoop.

I know this is late and you changed your mind, but I did want to throw some things out for you to think about for future trips. First, we stayed at the Red Roof Anaheim, near Disneyland and I HIGHLY recommend it. We were very please with our stay there last May. It's in comfortable walking distance to the park and there's also transportation if needed. We felt very safe there and there were lots of families.
Second, for anything Disney related, check out www.mousebuzz.com. This is a message board site of Disney fanatics and you can get lots of tips and info from people who just love Disney. I've been to WDW and Disneyland and love them both, but cannot wait to go back to WDW.
