I forgot to pull some things out of the freezer, so my dinner plans are scrapped. (I can't go to the store, crazy weather!!) I have some pasta, but I don't have any sauce made or jarred sauce. We don't ever eat pasta. Frankly, it's a miracle I even have a box on hand.I do have heavy cream, butter, sharp cheddar, milk, mozzarella, garlic, onion, olive oil...
Can a sauce be made out of any of that?

What can I do next?

You can easily make a cheese sauce out of what you have on hand. Start by melting butter in a sauce pan, and adding flour to create a rue. Add in cream or milk and cheeses slowly to taste slowly bringing to a boil. Let it all combine til desired thickness. You can of course add in any seasonings or the like to flavor it as you desire.

You might have the makings for a simple Alfredo (IF you happen to have parmesean cheese...you know, the kind in the green shaker container?)

See here: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Alfredo-Sauce-2/

You can omit the fresh parsley and use dry.

Don't try to substitute the mozzerella for the parm...it's too wet and the sauce won't thicken.

Cook the pasta, throw in some butter, stir around to melt...salt and pepper to taste...make up for it tomorrow. =)

Or scramble some eggs and toast...no stress! Good luck!!!

Do you have any suasage? Or any left over meat?
You could do a stir fry. Cut up some onions and carrots. Stir fry until tender throw in the left over meat. While this is cooking cook the pasta.
When it is done you can either add soy sauce to make stir fry or just add the cheese and butter for an italian type noodle. My kids like it either way. Pasta noodles with just butter and parmesan. Add any veggie. This is also good cold.
Good luck!

Mac and cheese or Alfredo - either one!!

Can you microwave some meat? Or thaw it in warm water. You're in TX...so you've got some time still. I'd even take meat out now in MD (it's 530) and pop it in the microwave to defrost it. It'd be a late meal, but it'd still be good :).

All you do is: Google search and put in the search box "recipes with heavy cream, butter, sharp cheddar, milk, mozzarella, garlic, onion, olive oil."

Or what is real easy is: after cooking the pasta, drain it, (don't flush it with water, just drain), and then put butter in it and salt to taste, and then toss.
Or then, melt the cheese over it.
My kids like that.
