Does anyone do it? What program do you use and what do you like/dislike about it? I am getting ready to start my 2010 scrapbook (yes, I am a little behind) and thought that I would try it, but I don't what to spend $ on software and end up hating it. Thanks

I also like Shutterfly, although a friend just told me about mixbook.com. She loves it, but I can't say since I haven't really tried it yet.

I haven't ever used a home program for scrapbooking. I do use photoshop to edit pictures, cropping, lightening if needed before printing. I have used shutterfly to make several albums and have been really happy with the results. You can choose a background, page layout and which pictures go where. There are a lot of options, but you do have to use one of their layouts, of which there are many choices. They run 50% off and free shipping fairly often. I only ever order when we can get free shipping. I have made their calendars too to give as gifts the last couple of years and it is where we order all of prints from. I still scrap on 8 1/2 by 11 paper and have a huge disaster area while I'm working. I would say you are doing good though, I'm working on getting the end of 2008 into albums and getting 2009 ready to print.

I love www.shutterfly.com. It is free to use their program and the cost of your finished books aren't too terribly pricey. I am also a novice with "techy" things, but this was very easy to figure out and serves as a great way to start and then move onto more complicated programs.
When you are ready for more advanced programs, I know heritage makers and creative memories both have great programs, but they are costly and kind of confusing to figure out.

I have made 2 scrapbooks from Walgreens.com. I think both turned out great. The thing I like most is that it is mess and hassle free. I can take a few minutes each day and get one page done at a time with out having a bunch of pics, paper, and craft stuff laying around. If you watch for deals on their web site you can get a really good price. What I did for the last one I completed it had it saved then once a sale happened then I ordered it saved me almost $20.00.

Have fun scrapbooking!

I have Memorymixer software. Unfortunately I haven't had any time to use it. I did make one page and it was pretty easy.

I agree with everyone on the Shutterfly books. I like the ones I have made, but that might not be what you're looking for.

You can check out twopeasinabucket.com. They have a lot of info and a huge gallery. Everyone on there loves Photoshop Elements, although it seems like too much of a learning curve for me.

I love shutterfly.com! Their program is so easy to use. I've made about 5 digital scrapbooks & they are just the perfect way to store my family's memories. The best part is, they save your pictures and projects forever. So what I do is make my scrapbook and save them to my shutterfly site and wait until they are having a sale. They usually have 50% sales a couple of times a year, so that's when I stock up. By waiting, I can get a 12 x 12 hardcover book for $25 instead of $54. Also, I highly recommend the hardback books as opposed to the paperbacks. They are worth the extra money. Good luck!!

I have a Kodak camera and use their gallery website to make photobooks/scrapbooks. I believe you can join for free but you have to order a certain amount of product to continue to use their gallery. If you buy one photobook or scrapbook per year it should cover the cost. You upload your photos onto their gallery. They have a variety of sizes and styles of photobooks to choose from. I think the smallest are 5" x 7" and you get 20 pages for about $10. The medium-sized are about 9" x 10" and you get 20 pages for about $35. There is a large size as well but I'm not sure the dimensions or cost. Shipping and handling fees do apply but sometimes they have deals where you can get it free. Extra pages for the medium-sized books cost 99 cents per page and you can make the book up to 80 pages. They provide layouts for the pages. Once you choose the page layout, you choose the photos you want and then click and drop them into the photo spots. Depending on the layout you choose, there is room to type in comments as well. Once you make your book, you can share it with others on facebook (if you are a facebook user). You can also have Kodak print it and send you as many copies as you'd like. I've ordered several of the medium-sized books and been quite pleased with them. In my experience, the books are printed up quickly and arrive within a week or so. They are much more compact than my homemade scrapbooks and have a more professional look. My only complaint is that depending on the layout you choose...your word count can be quite limited. Also, if you scan in old photos rather than using digital photos you may have some white edges around the photos (due to size differences).

I'm a fan of shutterfly.com. They even have a feaure now where you just upload the pics and they arrange them for you in about 15 seconds. Then you just go in and move the pictures around to get it exactly how you want it. That saved me a lot of time.

I love photoshop elements 7.0 or 8.0. It's about $100 but a very powerful program for the money. I use it both to organize and edit my photos and am starting to learn how to use it for digital scrapbooking. I love it!

I have had a few digi books made from kodak gallery - I like them but they are a little too "cookie cutter" for my scrapbooking tastes. I like to design and create my own scrapbook layouts.
