I'm curious: Did your belly button pop out during pregnancy? If so, at what week? Was it different for each pregnancy?
Earth shattering question, right? ;-)
Mine pops out. First pregnancy, I think it popped during the seventh month. This time, it's already popping (14 weeks). Funny, huh?
Also, I want to let ya'll know, I am not nearly as miserable as I have been for the past months (hallelujah). It's like I suddenly emerged from a hormone bath. I CAN SEE!!!!
Hugs all around. Hope your 2013 is awesome so far.
((And also, seriously, I want to know about your belly button.))
mine did not - honestly, i think it was too fat. seriously! my theory is that on thinner girls the baby pushes it out. lol. i had too much "cushion". so you couldn't really tell.
that's my story and i'm sticking to it ;)
(you've been so sick, have you lost a lot of weight? see?? ...i'm tellin ya!)

Mine popped out with both my pregnancies.
And then after and after my tummy deflated after my kids were born, it went back to an innie. A floppy, innie. Ya know, the muffin top type overhang. LOL
But now, its a normal innie.
Hope you are doing well, Ephie.

Yep, my belly button popped all three pregnancies! I think some time around the 20th week. My mom always wanted to paint my stomach pink...it was the perfect pig nose. I was all baby, I don't think there was any room for my button to stay an in. Everyone I know had a flat belly button though. I think my belly button might be deeper than my friends.

Mine never popped...but I am not some tiny thing either.
I think the skinnier you are the more likely to pop? That's my theory at least

Nope!
Not only that... I could still fit a bullet in it. O_o
Lol... My mum was from the 60s/70s generation where being able to fit a golden bullet (think James Bond) or gemstone IN your navel was considered to be extremely beautiful (and my grandparents spent time in the near east, so ditto for their girls.
MEANING (and I loathe my belly button), after the umbilical stump falls off the belly is pinched at the navel, and navel taped with surgical tape every day. Which creates "super" innie navels as the navel heals. Grrr. (Parents TRYING to be nice). At least 1 finger adult joint deep... Super-innies can easily hold a gemstone or decorative bullet.
Again. Not. Keen.
But I've never been a belly dancer. Maybe if it were professionally useful. But its not.

Two pregnancies and no pop! When I was 8 months pregnant with my first my then 6 year old niece asked my why my belly button hadn't popped. I said it might pop when I'm further along to which she responded, "But Aunt J's has already pop!" My SIL was only 6 months along. My only response was, I guess I have a really deep inny.

Mine popped up!
The last 3 weeks.
We joked it was like a pop up indicator you find in poultry.
Our son weighed 9 lbs 1.5 oz which was about the weight of the turkey we had for Thanksgiving that year.
I'm glad you're feeling better!

Mine popped with my last three. They popped three days before I delivered. It didn't pop with the first one and I was induced...makes me think she was early and I shouldn't have been induced!

My bellybutton flattened out some, but never became an outie.
A popped-out belly button is not a pregnancy milestone though. It is a potential sign of an umbilical hernia and may indicate that you'll have abdominal problems later. Since it is already distended this early in your second pregnancy, your abdominal wall hasn't healed from the first pregnancy. Keep an eye on it, and talk to your doctor if it ever starts to hurt in that area. A maternity support belt can help, if there is an issue.

Every morning of my pregnancy I woke up and checked my tummy, hoping that my belly button had popped. I have ALWAYS wanted an "outty". I think that they are super cute. I've always wanted one. Hubby woke up every morning, praying that my belly button hadn't popped. He thinks that "outties" are gross.
He won. My belly button never popped. :(

Congrats!!
With each kid, it got earlier and earlier. Turns out the pregnancies caused me to have an umbilical hernia.
May want to check into it after you have the baby.

Mine popped with my third and it's never been the same! I used to have an "innie" and now I have a partial "outie". If I'm wearing a tighter t-shirt it shows through and I look like I'm still preggo :(

Mine didn't pop out either time. I have a deep belly button. ;)
FYI, though, if you want your belly button to go back to how it was, you might be able to get it there by strengthening your transverse abdominal muscle to close any separation (diastasis) you might have. Do *not* do sit ups. Check out thetummyteam.com, it has a video for how to check yourself for abdominal separation.

Never did for either pregnancy. I was kinda glad because my friends did and she said it was irritated from the clothes rubbing on it.
