We are trying for our second. With my first one I didn't know until I was about week late and decided to test. AF is due on Sunday - day 28 (Mother's Day) I remember once when I was pregnant my co-worker asked me what it felt like to be pregnant. Other than the normal mini-kicks and flutters I had this energy sensation in my neck and top of my chest. Very hard to describe. I've never felt it before until I was pregnant. I had it all the way through until I had my daughter. I kind of related it to being able to feel her essence if that makes any sense. Well a few days ago I noticed that same energy feeling. I don't want to get my hopes up but I can't shake this feeling that I may be pregnant. I'm not going to test just yet. Just want to ride it out. I have the usual breast pain but I always get that so that doesn't tell me anything. But last night after work I was watching TV and chatting with my husband and I felt this wonderful surge of happiness. I was chatty Annie all night and just in a really good mood. Now if you knew me you would know that after work I am cranky and don't feel like talking. I can't remember a euphoric happy feeling with my past pregnancy. I was mostly terrified throughout since it was my first.
But has anyone known before a missed period that they were pregnant just based on a feeling and how your body felt or how you felt emotionally?
I wanted to thank everyone for sharing their experiences with me. I decided to test the day before I was due which was on Saturday the day before mother's day and I got a BFN. I still couldn't shake the feeling, but regardless I told my husband it was negative and we didn't talk anymore about it. Well by Wednesday I still hadn't gotten AF. That was day 31. Like clockwork I normally get AF on day 28. I was on my way to Taco Bell yesterday which is driving past my doctor's office. I said, what the heck, let's go get tested. Peed in a cup and went back to work cause they were busy. Called at 3:25pm and got a BFP!!!! My husband is over the moon with the news. He's got this big goofy grin on his face. I was reading my diary last night and in the May 4th entry I wrote that I suspected I was pregnant. It's just this feeling that I have. A full week before AF was due. I'm kind of proud of myself for being so intuned to my body. But for me, when I'm pregnant I have this feeling throughout my whole body that doesn't go away until after I have the baby. I can feel their energy like I'm not alone. That's my tell tale sign. Still letting all this sink in.

You can always buy one of the tests that say you can test early. I can say that I tested early (at least 5 days early) and my tests came up with a big + . Good luck!!!
with my last 4 kids I knew before AF was supposed to show. I just had a nagging feeling. I never really felt sick until a few weeks later, but I just knew I should test and find out for sure. I don't think I had any kind of totally obvious physical symptoms either and they weren't anything that couldn't be explained by just saying I feel weird, like having a touch of a stomach bug.
I tested early with all my kids (except my first) and got a good strong positive with the exception of my last. I took 3 test with him. the first one I took I had an extra test and Dh was a work. it had a very very faint line and I wondered if I was just imagining it because I sat there and squinted and turned that test for a long time. So I called dh at work and told him to bring home a new test because I thought I might be so he brought home a 2 pack. I waited til morning and took the first test and it was very negative. I just could not shake the feeling that the test was wrong. so I took the other test the next day and it was brilliant!

I totally knew I was pregnant with number 2 and number 3 before I missed my period. And it was just like you mentioned, I just "knew" it. I wasn't sick or anything like that. My boobs were tender, but just like you that is pretty normal for me.
With my son (baby #2) I did take a test early and it was negative, in fact I took two tests early and both came out negative, but then I waited until I was officially late and sure enough!
Then with my youngest daughter (#3) I again took a test early and sure enough, it came out positive! I will tell you though, the down side is when you find out your pregnant early in the pregnancy, you feel like your pregnant FOREVER!!!

i didn't. i wasn't nauseous or sick or anything until after the missed period.
I'm currently 12 weeks pregnant with our third and knew all three times before my missed period because I get really dizzy...brief periods where I suddenly feel like I need to sit down. If you're expecting your period on Sunday, I'd say you're free to take a test now and find out for sure. Or wait until Mother's Day and hopefully get a wonderful present! Best of luck!
With my first baby, I tested about a week before my period was due. I am now 12 weeks pregnant and tested a day before it was due. Both times something clicked in my head and said take a test. Sure enough I was pregnant. I would take a test because I'm too impatient to wait. Whenever you decide to take it, Good Luck!!!
I did, however I took one of those home tests that tell you before your period if your pregnant (just to be sure). I just felt different. Although, be careful with getting your hopes up before you get a positive test. I wish you the best and if you feel pregnant than you probably are :)
with my 4th son josyah ( he will one in june) we were in south dakota on a family vac and i wanted fruit juice while we were there. normally im not a juice drinker i really like my pop. i thought that was weird and also while we were there i just had a "feeling" i was pregnant. when we got home i did a home test because of the combo and it was positive. it was two weeks before i was suppose to have my period. when doing the math on the days it turns out i got pregnant on our wedding night!
also with my 3rd son i had a "feeling" that i got pregnant one night after being with my husband, waited a couple of weeks cause the feeling never went away and took a test just to see even though it was a week before i was suppose to get my period and it was positive.
i never knew the sex of my 3 older boys before i had them (i had the ultrasounds before they could tell for sure) but i knew they were all boys because i would dream i was carrying a baby boy around with me. all my pregnancies were different and i carried them all completely different high, middle and low. sure enough when i had them they were boys.
i do believe that your body knows what is going on when it happens. some of us are just more aware of it than others for some reason or another.
