It's taking all the fun out of zombies for me. It's not so funny when it could actually happen.

Cannibalism has always been around in various forms. Sometimes revered, sometimes reviled. So has mental illness.

Thing is, while rare in societies like ours, who revile it, there are a few cases at LEAST every year. Usually amongst the mentally ill. So when ONE case makes the news, reporters can always find several other cases. It's not that it's new, it's that its being reported to the public.

Initial horror and revulsion gradually gets replaced with humor as a way to cope, then the news doesn't want to be swept up into that humor / become a laughingstock ... So they drop those stories for awhile I units it's revolting again.

Here's a reminder from MY childhood:

What kind of soap does Geoffrey Dommer use?
Lever 2000, for all those 2000 parts.

But there have benn hundreds of cases before and after.

The mom eating her 3 week old son made me cry. It's not a new thing, just a few separate incidents that happened all close to each other.

until they get rid of these bizarre synthetic drugs people will continue to eat eachother. From the research I have done after asking what bath salt was this is what i came up with. They are not really bathsalts but are legal because it says in the package not for consumption and you can find them in a head shop. They increase your internal body temperature and all your organs so they feel like they are melting (hence why everyone is naked) They also turn off your pain receptors and any trace of reasonable thought is gone which leads to the abnormal strength. if you dont feel the pain you work through it doing what most people can't (ie bending a pair of handcuffs around your own wrist that they have to cut them off with a saw) and they also increase irritability and it does something with the jaw muscles to make you want to release your anger and stuff through your mouth by ripping someones face off I guess. It is crazy crazy stuff that needs to be banned in all forms. Oh and they are also doing it because it is not detectible in drug testing. The sad thing is once we get rid of this the crazies will continue to rummage through the household to see what they can ingest for their next high.

Did you read the article about the man stabbing himself multiple time and throwing his intestines and skin at the police????? its a crazy world full of crazy people.

And the mom who ate some toes and the brain of the 3 week old happened in like 2009 but is surfacing again because of the zombie apocolypse hype. Give it a few months and we will be back on the Myans

People need to be more educated and aware about PPD, so that loved ones can more readily see the signs. Often, tragedies like the woman who ate her baby, can be avoided if loved ones would know when psychiatric help is needed.

I recently read something about someone tripping on bath salts (not the kid you put in the bath, the designer drug) and trying to eat someone's face off. Who knows.

Who says what we watch doesn't affect our lives? I believe this is a faze... like the Twilight faze when people started wanting to be vampires. It's all the media's fault.
