I am looking for beginning oil painting classes also how can I learn to faux finish walls? have looked for instructors for both with no success... Michaels is discontinuing classes and Craft warehouse only has one fri. evening class that i can't attend.
I live in the Boise, Id area. There really aren't classes offered in the community except maybe college...I feel too old and chicken for that...any info would be appreciated.

I am in Boise also....
I learned how to Faux finish walls through trial by error. I went to Home Depot and asked alot of questions bought a book and found a wall that I could practice on. It took me a few tries but I finally got it right. It was alot of fun
As for oil painting good luck...:) Try looking at a crafts store to see if they have some ideas or online for how to guides.
I've seen classes at Michael's - the huge craft store on Fairview/Milwaukee area.
Also - I just found an add for Fire and Ice Pottery Studio

Have you checked out Home Depot or Lowe's? They usually have classes on the weekends for painting techniques or other projects. Call them up and see if they have anything going on!
Oh, and some are even free!
