Dentist in Alpharetta

I am looking for a good dentist for me and my husband. We live in Alpharetta and have Humana dental insurance. My husband went to one we picked off of a list that we knew nothing about and they told him he needed a root canal. We would like a second opinion from someone we can trust. Any recommendations would be great. Although we live in Alpharetta, I don't mind driving to surrounding areas (Johns Creek, Duluth, Cumming, etc.) to find a great dentist. Thanks.

What can I do next?

Hello~ My family and I use Dr. Mark McGee in Alpharetta.
He came recommended from my husband's coworker when we first movied here 9 years ago. He's office staff is wonderful and will do any and every thing to help you. When our son became of age I didn't even hesitate who he'd be seeing. We've had several emergencies and they took care of us immediately. I hope you'll consider him
and let him know the Alfonso's referred you.

My husband and I both use Dr. Prattas in Alpharetta. He and his wife, Rosie, are the two dentists in the practice. We've been going to them for about 4 or 5 years and we love them. Their staff is fabulous and I never feel like he is recommending things I don't need. An added bonus is they are also kid friendly so when our son is ready for a dentist, we'll take him there too. They are on Highway 9 in the Cambridge Square office park (right by Upper Hembree Rd. and Harry's Farmers Market). Their # is ###-###-####.

Hi L.,

I absolutely HATE going to the dentist (almost to the point of being phobic!!) - but I found one in Alpharetta that I just love. I actually went to high school with one of the dentists and she was one of the sweetest people I knew then and she is still super sweet. It's Dr. Amy Dayries and Dr. Victoria Callicutt. They both are moms with children - so, they each work PT at the practice. They do a great job and are very comforting and sweet as well. I don't dread the dentist anymore. Their website is http://callicuttdayries.com/contact.html.

Good luck,
A.

Hi L.,

I just recently joined a new dentist off Haynes Bridge Rd/Old Alabama and i like them. I also got a root canal recently and I paid very little out of pocket!

Dr. Parsa is really nice and is less nerve wrecking to those I have gone to in the past. I hate going to the dentist until I found him.

Best of Luck!

Dr. Zachary Powell is great. He is a very conservative dentist. He never does more drilling than he absolutely has to. I have been to several dentist in the past that I felt like were just in it for the money and were constantly trying to sell me on procedures. Dr. Powell is nothing like that. He just wants you to be comfortable and have a healthy smile. He is located in Cumming, here is his website address: http://www.powellfamilydentistry.net I have also heard great things, from some other mommies, about Jordan Family dentistry. They use the waterlase system (it's a laser that allows them to do procedures without a drill). They are also in Cumming. Their website is http://www.jordandentistry.com/services.html. If you are interested in the waterlase system or want to find other dentist using this go to http://www.biolase.com. My husband is a total baby and he will only go to a dentist that uses this.

Hello L.

We have been to several dentists in our area who all told us different things. I was told by two that I had horrible teeth and I would be lucky if I still had my orginal teeth in ten years. He recomended all these things to be done that sounded horrifying. I talked to my husband and he found us a great dentist in Sandy Springs called Dental TLC. Not only do I not have horrible teeth they always make fun and say if they aren't careful I am going to put them out of business because I don't really need a dentist. Their phone number is ###-###-#### their website is www.dentaltlc.com They are the best dentist we have found and they really care about what is going on. We even take our 4 year old that loves the dentist now. I take him with me when I get my teeth cleaned and they give him a goody bag and he watches tv. They take most insurance and if they don't take your insurance they will work with you so that you can pay the bill.

Hope this helps.

B.

Hi,

We've recently followed my parents, my sister and brother-in-law over to Dr. Edward Chipps. He's on Highway 9, just south of Alpharetta. We've been very happy with him and his staff. http://www.drchippsdds.com/
