I highly recommend Galaxy Ranch. They start at 18 months. It is a full time day care and school. They open at 6:30am and close at 6pm. Also after the students there turn 3 and are potty trained, they receive indoor swimming lessons once a week and all year round. To me that's the best part. My son started there when he was 2 and has been there for two years now. Not only is he learning how to swim, but he's learning the alphabet, how to read basic words, art, science...they do it all. They also partly own the "Rocking L Ranch" just south of Quinlan. The older kids take day trips out there in the summer time to swim and go horseback riding.
It just so happens that my son is a second generation to this school. How is that possible? Happiness House opened about 40 years ago with the first school in Dallas on Peavy road and then the Rockwall location shortly after that, and the owners were Jerrell and Pauline Logan. Mrs. Logan had 5 children from 2 marriages. Her first born son is Brad Larson from her first marriage. He owns Galaxy Ranch. Her second son Randy Logan became a public school teacher. Her third son Richie Logan now runs the Peavy location and is opening a school in Frisco very similar to Galaxy Ranch. Her oldest daugher Holly Logan runs a school in Mesquite. And her youngest daughter Julie Logan operates a school in Canton. The point I'm trying to make here is that it's been a family business for a very long time. Back in the late 70's and early 80's I attended Happiness House in Rockwall. There I learned how to swim, go horseback riding, do gymnastics, and the best part of all I learned how to roller skate. The old buildings still exist and is across the interstate on the north side just east of Rockwall High School on the service road, but it's a gone era. Basically, those were the best times of my life. As soon as I heard that one of the children was building a new school in Rockwall a few years ago, I knew right then I didn't have to go "school shopping." Just one quick tour of the school, and I was sold!
Just tell the owner, Brad Larson, that A. sent ya! ;-)
