Hi, I just signed up at First Path on Whites Street in Watertown. I am due in April and expecting a June/July placement. I had done a lot of research and found this one to have the most experienced, caring staff and flexible hours. It's perfect for us and just a few blocks from our house. I know they also have openings now due to the economy and previous parents losing employment. Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions!
I have two children at First Path--one who is in the preK room and one in the infant room. My 4-year-old has been there since she was an infant. We are very happy with the way our children are nurtured there. If you would like to know more specifics, I'd be happy to share more details privately.
I am very happy with The Learning Zone. I believe they have locations in both Belmont and Watertown. My daughter is in the Weston one, and I have been thrilled with the care she received there. They have cameras that you can log online to see what your kids are doing throughout the day. The teachers really seem to love the kids, and the owner is often there and runs a great center! A friend of mine and I were looking last year in the same area. We have a list with the name, contact info, hours and cost. I can try to send it to you using the "private message" feature. I ended up going to Kindercare on Concord Ave we have been very happy with it but it is expensive. My friend went to the learning zone (which I didn't like at all).
