can someone recommend me a good daycare/homecare in Wheaton? (Danada area). I have a two year old going currently to one daycare but the teacher ratio is 1:8 and the kids get hardly any attention.
thanks

What can I do next?

8 two year olds in a center? That's cake. Try 16 two year olds with one teacher and one assistant (whose minimum requirements is a high school diploma or GED). Most child care homes are run by MOMS!

Try UCCN (United Child Care Network) It is a professional organization for home child care providers. They are in Woodridge and they have members all over DuPage County. Google it.

The State teacher/child ratio for two year olds is 1:8. Most large daycares will operate at this ratio. You may have better luck with a home daycare, where we can decide to keep less children. I know from experience how difficult it is to care for 8 two year olds and give them the attention they need. Good luck.
