Take her to the dentist. Could be nerve damage from an older injury. Sometimes it takes years for the root to completely die. This happened to O. of my son's baby teeth...I'm sure it could happen to a second tooth...
my grown daughters tooth tuned darker and its a permanent tooth what do i do?

Go to the dentist right away or it will likely fall out... darkening means it is dying. A dentist might be able to save it if you get in right away... be sure to tell the dentist it is an "emergency appointment" so you dont have to wait weeks to get in.
take her to the dentist
I had this happen a few years back. Dentist said my tooth had "died"... probably from a bonk (or several) I sustained as a (somewhat clumsy and active) child. He did a root canal, internal bleaching over the course of a month and then put in a permanent filling (temporary fillings between bleachings). The root canal was nothing like I'd feared. I didn't have an infection, which is apparently the cause of so many peoples' ineffective anesthetic during root canals. One other thing, I figured it would be cosmetic, and therefore I'd have to pay for it, but my insurance covered it 100%.
Has your daughter experienced an injury to her tooth? Are the surrouning teeth discolored? I recommend that you take your daughter to the dentist. This is the only way to know for sure if the tooth is 'dead' and will need to be pulled. Good luck!
go to the dentist. Sounds like a root canal may be what she needs. But, to know for sure, see a dentist
I agree with Denise. She needs to go to the dentist. When I was 13 I was hit with a soccer ball in the face. Nothing really came of it. A few years later when my braces were taken off I ended up with a black tooth. Turns out the nerve was damaged when I was hit and the movement my teeth went through after taking off the braces had brought out the dead color. I don't remember what all happened, but the dentist drilled a small hole in the back of my tooth, cleaned out what he could (making the dark color a bit less extreme) and filled it in with a product to strengthen the dead/empty tooth. FYI, she may still have slight discoloration for the rest of her life as it's not like a surface stain that can be bleached.
