The patches are made to be sewn on and not glued or iron on and if they are sewn on, there isn't any trouble washing it.
Is it OK to put my daughter's blue Daisy Scout smock in the washing machine? I'm worried that the patches will come off or get damaged.
Thanks!

I did it. It ruined the bond and I had to buy a new vest and patches.
I have washed my dd's daisy tunic a couple times with no problem. I washed it in cold on gentle. Fortunately, the leader has her own sewing business and always sews all the patches on for us so I don't have to worry about the patches falling off.
It depends on how the patches were applied. If you ironed them on, or used some type of bonding agent, then the answer is NO washing machine. You can hand wash it. Hang it up to dry.
I would just try to spot clean it and not risk the damage.
i think its fine to wash it, but dont dry it. use the delicate cycle, small load and dont wash it with anything else.
I've heard that all the patches are made so they can be washed. Because the colors are so vibrant I'd recommend Dry Cleaning. I do know that if you've used Patch Attach on any of the patches and it starts to come off and is very difficult to sew on if that is how you decide to repair them.
I always washed my daughters scout uniforms. Of they come off you can just put them back on. I know that the petals now a days come with iron on's but I also sewed them on also. I did this with all her scout uniforms. Good luck but yes it is ok to put it in the washing machine.
