I have a little ice pack that I put in with my sons lunch when he takes yogurt or dairy drinks. That seems to work great.
Im planning to send yogurt for my kindergartener lunch box . Do i need to freeze the yogurt ? Please advice ...

I've been told that it does not have the same consistency once it thaws. I typically send it next to an ice pack.
You could either do an ice pack in the lunch box, or freeze the yogurt.
my kids always LOVED yogurt frozen in their lunch boxes. I usually sent the gogurt frozen though. In a tube, no silverware needed and made them think they were getting ice pops in their lunch while still being good for them.
They also liked the cups of yogurt frozen and never had a problem with eating them after they'd thawed out.
I personally can't stand yogurt so I can't tell you for sure if the consistancy changes or not. I just know my kids never complained.
We ice pack the lunchbox...we've never tried freezing. I don't think my daughter would eat it.
I put yogurt in my kindergarteners lunch box. I wasnt sure about it at first but she kept talking about other girls at school that have yogurt in their lunches. I put an ice pack in her lunch box and pack everything then usually put it in the freezer for 10-15 mins before she leaves to get on the bus to make sure it stays good and cold. Shes never complained.
I've frozen the 4oz yogurts and also cheese sticks. They've always been thawed but still cold at lunchtime.
