M.M.
My son and hubby's are 3 days apart and we go to dinner at a nice restaurant, usually sons choice, and of course tell the waitress that it is the birthday for both of them. I have always kept the birthday gifts separate.
My son, who is turning 2, was born on his dad's birthday :-) Last year I got them a few matching T-shirts online with some cute graphics. This year, I am not sure what to do. Any ideas?
It was very hard to find non-cheesy matching cloths for an adult and a baby/toddler. Do you know of any places or web sites where I can find matching gifts? Or should I not get matching gifts this time? We are already planning to buy my son a nice gift as parents (a trike or rocking horse), so should I just get my hubby something?
I don't have much time left!
TIA for ideas!

Getting Father-son gifts is fun . . . as long as you don't for get either person individually.
Read the book, "The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands." You'll get lots and lots of great father/husband gifts you can give or do. He will be both surprised and delighted.
Have fun.
Go separate. I would get Dad something nice, including a hat with his sons pic on it.....if he wears hats, if not, a T-shirt or something he can wear with the pic............I got a hat for my son when his son was small and he loved it......I am not sure he wore it much, but he loved it.
Try to make each one feel special......might take Dad out alone for dinner too....
Good Luck and take care.......
does dad wear jewelry? might be nice to get him a (manly) gold charm bracelet, then every year you can give a new charm relating to dad/son relationship, even if he doesn't wear it, it'd be a nice thing for the two of them to reminisce with...
