I think this is a Just for fun question.
I was listening to some radio promo for the katy perry movie and it is full of yonger sounding girls shrieking and telling how great and inspiring the movie is. I am driving just thinking, "I would NEVER take my kids (or me) to see this!"
But in my hipocracy, I am going to see Magic Mike with some girlfriends (I know!) - so. . . what movies are you going to see (or Not) why?
any movie you ever sat through and wondered - Why the heck did I spend my $8 on that bomb?

Happy mid-week friday:)

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Ok. Magic Mike was not as "bad" as I thought it would be - my girls and I had a great time:)

I must see,
abraham lincoln vampire hunter
Bourne Legacy,
I wanted to see The Raven but we never got around to it.
um Brave is GREAT!
Not going to Magic Mike or Katy Perry.
not interested. I'm more of a action movie type of girl.
Couldn't pay me to go see Ted. That movie looks awful.

There was something we saw that most people really liked that hubby and I were like " man I just lost 2 hrs of my life and can't get it back" It' was Transformers Dark of the Moon.
They put all the good parts in the trailer and they defied the laws of physics .

I saw Magic Mike over the weekend with a bunch of girlfriends, and while it wasn't a choice I'd ever make it was funny and fun. It wasn't a great movie, though, and Matthew McConaghy comes off as very... sleazy and disgusting in this film. He was just so gross and nasty. But Channing Tatum was to die for. That boy is sweet and his moves are hot. Luckily, I didn't have to spend a penny to see it since we have a friend who got us all free passes (she's a manager at a theater).

Brave was amazing, and we took our kids to see it on opening weekend. It was worth every penny, but I wouldn't take a child under 5 or 6 to see it. My daughters all loved it, including the music. The animation was spectacular.

I've been dying to see Snow White and the Huntsman. Not for Snow White, but for the Huntsman.

I tried to make my boys happy by going with them to the first Transformers movie. Look, I've been to all the Pokemon movies, the Batman movies, (I HATED the last one several years ago!) the Spiderman movies, etc...

But I couldn't take all that transformer stuff on the big screen. It was SO loud and so big that I felt like they'd reach out and grab me by the throat. So I went out and sat on the floor outside of the theatre to wait for them. I thought maybe I'd go back in, but really didn't want to...

So yeah, I don't spend $8 on these kinds of movies that I know I can't stand to see on the big screen. I never went to see The Matrix on the big screen, but I can just imagine that I'd have the same feeling.

It's the TV screen for me for that stuff...

Saw Magic Mike Saturdsay. Yum! The butts were great!!! :) I saw Brave on Sunday. Very sweet movie. I really enjoyed it. The mom doesn't die in this one!!!

Hubby and I saw Rock of Ages a couple of weeks ago. I actually enjoyed it! It is a muscial and Tom Cruise doesn't totally suck in it! I saw the promos for the Katy Perry movie and I have to say it didn't strike me as all that great. Looks like there will be several out this summer that looked like they would be good.

Moulin Rouge - the only movie I ever walked out on! Terrible!!

I also have no interest in Katy Perry or her movies... she's what's wrong with today's music. Image based & computer made.

But, Magic Mike, I am so seeing that one in the theater. It's our turn to ogle some hard bodies!!

I was disapointed in Magic Mike. I felt like I had seen all the fun stuff during the previews, so all that was left was lame storyline. But, it was still good clean fun.
I enjoyed the night out laughing with the girls.
