Any advice moms? Which cruise lines did you choose and why? Would prefer not to do a Disney cruise but want to get the best vacations (and RELAX) for all three of us.
Also, did you feel safe on the cruise with a 4 year old?
Why a cruise for a 4 y.o.? I would not do it. There are so many places
to go with a child. You would not relax on a cruise with a child. They
have childrens programs, but they are not that great.
If you are looking for warm weather, there are many all inclusive beach
resorts. Now that is relaxing.

I have cruides Carnival and NCL, the food on Carnival was better and they had more activities for all ages where as the NCL was more about relaxing. Both childcare programs were great.

Hi JC.
Try looking info for the Nickelodeon Cruise, I'm pretty sure that you will have a great time on this one. Check this website and see if you like what you see.
http://www.ncl.com/nclweb/cruiser/cmsPages.html?pageId=Ni... They use the Norwegian Cruise Lines, right now Parents Connect is having a contest for a Nickelodeon Cruise, but you would have to sign up (for free) with Parents Connect at parentsconnect.com.
I hope this helps.
I.

We've been on 2 cruises with our kids.
The first one our daughter was 9 months old. We took Royal Carribean's Majesty of the Seas to the Bahamas. It was GREAT. It's an older ship (they've remodeled since we went) so it wasn't a "party ship". Which fit our personality perfectly. We were NEVER bored on the ship. Lots to do. This cruise was in December. GREAT weather.
Our second cruise our daughter was 2 1/2 and our son was 6 months. We took a Carnival cruise on a new ship to Mexico. It sucked..... Complete party ship. Sure, they had Camp Carnival but our daughter didn't even like it........ It was just a bunch of young people drinking and partying the whole time. Even the "entertainment" was a little too harsh for our tastes. (We don't like swearing, using God's name in vain, etc......) This cruise was in Jan. Weather was nice but cooler out of California.
We felt totally safe. We looked into a Disney cruise but didn't think the cost difference could be justified. You'd be better off spending a day at Disney when you get back then going on a disney cruise.
I recomend going out of Florida. The weather was MUCH warmer than our Carnival out of California. Cruises are GREAT! We are planning on going on another one in a year or two. And we'll have another baby by then. Our third child is due this Sept!

I haven't gone on it yet, but we just booked on Carnival Destiny. Carnival is supposed to be awesome for families. They have a special kids' camp that you can send her (him?) to. I heard you can stay and hang out at the camp with her to decide if you're comfortable leaving her there. You don't need to leave her there all day, but what a nice idea to have a place for her to go even just while you and hubby have a nice meal together, huh? I have heard nothing but really good things about Camp Carnival and how the kids don't want you to pick them up when you're ready to take them back! I heard it's not just a babysitting room for them to play in, but they do all kinds of fun activities with them. Google camp carnival and see what you can find. By the way, I have seen a handful of people complain about Destiny online, but I really do believe that most people only bother to post of these sites when they are upset and for every upset person there are literally thousands that have a great time. The ship holds well over 2,000 people per voyage and I could only find a handful of complaints, which I think you'd find for any ship
