My 11 month old has croup again for the 4th time since January. The doctor says this can happen but I've never spoken to a mom that has had this happen. Anyone have any advice?
My oldest was like that as a baby. Turns out he has asthma. His ped. told me that its a common symptom in children that young who have asthma. May be something to ask about.

I am a mom of 3 girls and my youngest @16 months had croup already 3 times. For some reason croup is running around the little ones a lot this year. If your baby is in day care then she/he may just have to run the day care course of getting sick a lot for the first few months. If not or if you question something go to another doctor. Doctors these days are rushing kids in and out and sometimes it takes a second opinion. 11 months is pretty young for having that much croup. When my baby had it they prescribed Prednizone a steroid to help the infection. Hope this helps. Keep hand washing!
My son was just at Texas Childrens with Croup. The doctors gave mim a large dose of Steroids and it cleared it up.
My sons doctor is great, if you would like his # I'd be more then happy to give it to you. My son at 4 months had RSV and if it wasn't for his doctor I don't think things would have worked out as well as they did. He's an amazing doctor. You can reach him 24 hours a day. Never a answering service!
