Hello Ladies....

I have a friend that has posed a question to me and I thought what a better way to get an answer but to ask all of you...so here goes...

My son found a crayon when he was cleaning, and put it in his pocket.. well I stupidly didn't check his pockets before I washed the clothes, and now I have pink spots on all the clothes ..UGH!!!

What can I use to get the crayon stains out?.. I'm pretty sure it was a washable crayon from crayola.

Please Help!!!!!!!!!

What can I do next?

Immacu-10. If you are in the north Indy area, we can connect and get you some. If not, see if you can find it online. If NOT, let me know & I'll work something out. My friend goes to Kentucky ALL THE TIME to buy cases of this stuff! Enzyme based, NOT CHEMICAL! AWESOME! Works on EVERYTHING!

I like to take as warm(hot) of water as possible and add Clorox 2 and let it soak--sometimes it sits for a couple days. I then check it and if it still has spots I put Krud Kutter or Goof Off on it. This seems to work well.

Good luck!

I second the vote for goo gone. My daughter colored on our carpet with green crayon and dabbing with goo gone removed the crayon. I know it is safe for clothes too so that would be my vote. Good luck!

I just did this not too long ago, the sad part was, that I didn't learn the first time and had to do it twice. I used goo gone and wd-40. Then I rubbed in Dawn dish soap. Then I washed in hot water. That did get most of the greasey waxy stuff out, but on some fabrics the color stayed. I also soaked in Oxy for about 24 hours, that helped. Some of the spots came out and some didn't. REally it depended on the fabric content. Cottons came clean, poly's didn't.

According to Linda Cobb who writes the best books - like the Queen of Clean and Talking Dirty Laundry with the Queen of Clean .....

any way she says
"WD-40 Lubrican - Have it on hand. Why? We've all had those nasty geraste stains and oil stains on clothers: salad dressing misses the salad and get your blouse -grease splatters or crayon/lipstick/chap stick gets on your clothes! WD-40 is your answer. Spray some on, wait 10 minutes, then work in undiluted liquid dishwashing soap and launder as usual. Works well on everything except silk!"

Her books have saved me many items and appliances.

Shaklee's Basic H2 and Nature Bright with some warm water will clean anything. I'm a distributor because I'm in love with the stuff and have yet to find something I can't get clean with it - grass stains, rust stains, dried blood, 10-year-old dried tree sap, ground in dirt on tile grout - you name it. My neighbor had crayon from one of her little artists drawing all over her walls so I took my products to her house to show her and got all of it off!

Plus, it's all natural with no chemicals so it's safe to use around kids and pets; and it's concentrated so a little goes a long, long way - I haven't bought cleaning products in almost two years!

(Go to http://shaklee.net and you can search for a distributor in your area or feel free to order from me if you're interested! Please don't just take this as a sales pitch though... the products really are amazing!)

Saturate the spots with Lestoil (household/floor/wall cleaner). Let sit for awhile. Wash in hottest water and longest, most heavy-duty cycle that is safe for the fabric. You may need to repeat this. DON'T dry in dryer until you are sure the spots are gone.

Good luck!

I have had it go through the dryer before I found crayon in my kids clothes before and fels naptha bar soap worked to get it out. It takes a little elbow grease to scrub it on each stain, but it does work pretty well.
